SuperMike... absolute legend thread!

This is probably the best tactic I've come across on FM15!

I started using it in January with Liverpool 1st season (previously messing about with other tactics like Christian Eriksen and Lokito) I was already top of the league but thistTactic has helped me secure my first manager of the month and so far my results have been amazing:

Southampton A : 2-0
Stoke A : 3-0 (FA Cup)
Burnley H : 3-0
Everton H : 1-1 (Completely dominated and should have won the game)
Man City A : 2-1 (5 CCC in the first half, City did not have 1 shot on goal - using v2)
Newcastle H : 8-1

So far so good!

Super Mike,

Again You´re a freaking monster!

It was the debut of Denis Rodriguez, I got him from Newell for 1.5M a complete robbery! And can you believe that he is just 19 and on his debut 3 goals and assist!

The corners amazing

We are in a great run, just two tied game because i had a red card and 2 injured players with no subs left.

Nice!

Again great Tactic

Great tactic used it in The lowest league in sweden with a team tiped to come last and i won The league:-) really Great

In this tactic the corners are short and the LB/RB are set to stayback . I have a 15+ taker on default. When I swap there position like you said the LB/RB become default with 15+ kicker taking the corner and no one stays back ?Confused ???

Hi Jem, I would say for now (while we are working on set pieces) leave the set pieces as I had them.

I will explain. The default position players take in the box is different for different players. So to have each player in the best position to score it needs to be set up as I have it.

The reason I put the left back on left corners is because, firstly his corner taking ability is rarely used because he is likely to pass it short to the LM. If the LM passes back to the LB then the LB can use his crossing on what is likely to be his stronger foot to put it back in.

If you take the corner with your LM you actually have no-one come short and that ruins the set piece.

So until I have found something better I really recommend you don't worry about corner taking abilities and make sure it is left as I set it up.

It is set so that when you have the corner your other FB will be defending the halfway line and middle CB is there to break up counters early, I have rarely been caught out.

Most goals will come from your AP and ST.

A change you could make is changing the 'challenge keeper' to 'attack far post' I wouldnt change anything else just yet.

Hope this has helped.

I am currently using the smallest pitch size because most of my assists have been from passes in the box and most conceded goals were assisted from the wings. So I have tried to get rid of that as much as possible.

hands down best tactic i tried so far

kudos bro, real good work

for me so far works best if i just stay on defense position training all the way, attk movement doesnt do so well even against weaker teams

Good idea, seeing as I feel this tactic is better going forward than backwards. So I will try this. Thank you.

Amazing tactic.... Supermike the right insideforward has to have left foot and vice versa for the left if? Does it matter?

It does help for scoring goals.

A right footed right IF will score less but assist more
A left footed right IF will score more but assist less.

It makes a difference but I wouldn't say that you HAVE to do that. The main thing is that the player suits the role, has the right amount of quality.

This tactic is fantastic. I'm Spurs and have Lamela AMR and Demphis AML, with Munir up front and the three link up brilliantly. If anyone is looking for the perfect ball playing defender get John Stones. I also got Lucas Romero in for roaming playmaker, and Tielmans for the advanced playmaker role and they are brilliant. Fantastic tactics super mike :)

Glad it is working with you, one of the things I am happiest about in this tactic is that the goals are coming from a striker , which I always prefer

Still loving this tactic. Just a quick couple of questions though dude. What do you do for pre game team talks? I know the in game ones are covered in the OP, but do you have a set you use for pre game? Also, do you ever switch your mentality from attacking? Like if you are winning 2-1 with 5 mins to go? Great tactic dude :)

Yeah I sometimes switch it to counter. I'm not entirely sure how much difference it makes though, but I guess I feel like it will probably help. I still score a lot on counter anyway.

Pre-game. If the option to say carry on from last time is there I will use that (assertive) and then I will follow it up with I have faith (calm).

If its not there, I will usually use keep our run going (Assertive). Then have faith (calm) again.

If its a home game against an easy opponent. I will use I expect nothing less than a win (aggressive) Then have faith (calm).

If its a derby or cup final Do this for the supporters (passionate) have faith (calm).

After beating Madrid in my first game with this tactic, went on a 12 game winning streak before I was stopped by Madrid 2-1. Really good tactic, also seems defensively sound too, didn't concede in 5 straight games through this period also!

This tactic has worked for my Alfreton team so far, won promotion first season and top of League 2 so far in the second, thanks!

Really like the look of your tactic(s) mate. Great write up as well, properly described each thing required which will stop all the questions!

I'm going to be using this tactic as a test on my new save. I have used the editor and a downloaded English Level 9 database to put AFC Hinckley into the Midland Premier League.

Ill probably start some kind of story/blog on FMBase about it but if I don't ill definitely post some screenshots on here to say how your tactic has performed

I'm going to have to put some screen shots on at the end of the season to show how good this tactic is. Without doubt the best I've used on this years game. Lucas Romero is a BEAST. Super Mike you have made playing FM a joy again :) I just hope they don't bfing out another patch to ruin all this, as I am genuinely loving playing this game again using this tactic.

Haha, thanks again for the support, when they do bring something out I will do my best to attack the match engine again. Glad you are getting the results from this.

SuperMike, has anyone tried this with a big club, where almost everyone parks the bus against you?
