5th game( all wins)

When 3 goals up and the players started look slightly "off" ( i.e not closing down as they should), I dropped the d-line by 6 notches

I've been using this tactic, the original Mr Hough 12.2 and another by Knap from SI and I've noticed that when players are not responding or performing how they should, then change the d-line works so effectively especially if you push them higher up the pitch. The AI doesn't seem to be able to counter the extra pressure that's suddenly put on. Seems to work well against 'big' teams as well, especially if you have hard working forwards. Putting time wasting at a minimum also works great as well, it seems as if the tempo of play suddenly increases but it's just because of how quickly you get the ball back into play and the AI seems to have trouble combating that as well, but obviously it doesn't seem to work each and every time.

Sometime pushing up is the correct answer in order to keep a tigher shape but when some players in the team stops to close down as a whole due to already being 3 or 4 goals, its sometimes better to sit deeper so that we at least keep the shape in the backline. Playing a highish d-line without actually putting pressure on the opponent can lead to a disaster. Also, remember that the d-line is not a off the ball setting butu also a possession setting. Here, the deeper d-line lest us keep possession in our own half, using those short passing defenders to play tiki-taka amongst them selfes, seing out a game so it ends 4-0 insetad of 5-2 etc.

hey guys,I was wondering if someone was willing to try this tactic on a minimum pitch and also on a max pitch and on a standard one with the same team, that is play 5 home games or so in all pitches.Like save right before they ask you for the pitch size and you know do this 3 times? As I just have a feeling the tactic might play better in a minimum pitch size.I haven't tried any else and right now really busy with Uni midterms,so can't get playing time.
So can someone please try this and let me know?Or i will just upload my swansea save and in the second season, someone maybe can try a minimum pitch.I just want to try it.lol.

damiao prolly score 30+ maybe even 40+ goals from corners. but hes such a great player hes got speed dribbling finishing heading he scores all sorts of goals and hardly ever gets red cards or gets booked even.

as for skin i use Base 2012 Dark BG skin

@RockLee

do you do your own team talks? and what do you use for match prep and workload?

And did you use any other tweaks other than changing the mentality of the rb?

im no good with team talks so i let assistant handle team talks nah i havent changed anything plug in play.
first season was the 4-1-2-2-1 tact of my houghs tweak formation
and 2nd season was this formation on this thread

What did you do for match prep focus and workload ?

so after resigning from swansea cuz second season was going to be too easy, and after winning the olympics with gbk, which was very easy till the semis and finals, where i messed up my first half team talk but got back in the game in the second halves, lol.I kept on pressing continue till a job offer from lazio cam up,15th dec,12th on 19 points after 14 games,i just put my tactic in,first game result.lol.and best part,no goals from corners.1 indirect free kick and 1 direct free kick though.

if anyone wants the save game file as to how I'm successful.i don't mind uploading it!cheers!

So what is the general consensus over the full back tweaks? I've read over the thread and I don't think there was a definite answer.

Should we leave full backs as they are? or put up rb mentality by one click? or decrease lb mentality by one click

In the OP it says increase RB mentality by 1, which I did and found it worked better so I stuck with it, so I presumed that's what was intended? You'd probably have to wait for Akash for an accurate answer though..

Yes i did use playmaker.. and match prep was mainly very high/high attacking movement

Wish there was a non classic tactic download available. Its much better being able to see what roles are being used.

Thanks man :) Sorry to ask so many questions, but I just want to ensure I'm doing everything you did to ensure success.

So you didn't put the rb mentality up by one click? and also did you rest your players in between games?

get good cd who can win headers, cuz when opposition launches long ball as they get hassled up the pitch,CD and FBs need to win the aerial balls or be quick enough to go back after missing the header and get it back u knw.
i have try it with Man utd, arsenal and stoke. But always conceded from counter and my RB and LB often let winger get pass them :(

I have tried this out a couple of times :)

I had one good game, it was a friendly though! the rest were not so good, a few wins, but conceding nearly as much, hit on the counter a lot as well!

I ran a test with this and a few of my tactics last night, and Callums new domination one, this was the 2nd worst, I used it for Liverpool on holiday, they came in 6th, Everton (Callum) came in 9th (but he had the worst team out the lot)

It does work, it just feels a little like those *** tactics that exploit the engine and flaws and I for one don't enjoy using them myself!

I do hope you asked Mr Hough if you could use his tactic?

I would also like to see a tactic made from scratch from you as well :) not using anyone's work
