Carter turns back on Liverpool: "Im A Swansea Fan, Not A Scouser!"

port4_280x529_24589a.jpg

Swansea City have today confirmed that Daniel Carter, has silenced the footballing world in which seemed an easy decision but instead chose the opposite choice and has stuck with the swans.

Daniel Carter has today confirmed he had a tough choice weather to swap his Swansea Bay penthouse, for a 4 room flat in the middle of Liverpool. Carter had made it clear to all involved at Swansea that he wanted to manage as high as possible, and he's of course done that with Swansea but he made it clear he wanted a new challenge.

Although, after long brought out conversations with both the Liverpool chairman and Huw Jenkins, Carter has decided he wouldn't gain anything by moving to Liverpool. Carter claimed in a recent magazine interview, "I'm a Swansea fan, not a scouser!".

The Swansea boss may feel a bit dissapointed as a chance to manage a big club like Liverpool doesn't come around very often, although has has dropped a massive hint that he may leave next year as he's only re-newed his contract for 1 year, which only had 12 months left.

Swansea City have today thanked ex-capitain, Gary Monk after he announced his retirement from professional football.

The swans have offered Gary a proffessional coaching role, which he has accepeted for the next 2 years. It was an emotional day for Monk, who joined Swansea back in 2004 from Barnsley and has remained the Swans captain all the way through till 2013. A Brilliant 8 year career which will never be forgotten.

The swans will now look to appoint a new captain, with this likely to be current vice captain, stalwart Alan Tate who has also been at the club since 2002. The two captains have showed great and true love to Swansea, and must be proud of their achievements.

article-1234368-07713CE7000005DC-963_306x350.jpg

Daniel Carter was busy during this months transfer market, not only buying, but selling quite a few players too, which he believes will make the team stronger.

Carter has just completed his second signing of the market, bringing in Valmandr Weiss on a free transfer after his contract expired & Adellaou from Hull City, for a fee of 7M, leaving only 2M in the transfer kitty.

As well as bringing in new faces, Nathan Dyer has had the axe from the swans as he moves on a 3 month loan to Norwich. Dyer handed in a written transfer request during the week, and has finalized everything and joins up with the Canaries for pre-season. Carter has tried to sell left back, Tony Capaldi and strong centre forward, Daniel Bagdonovic who Carter has says "have no futures left" unless they are willing to wait for first team football.

The swans now look to hand new contracts too Alan Tate, Jon Arne Riise and Zak Whitbread, whose' run out in 6 months.

Swansea have also recently declared interest in Aston Villa central midfielder, Barry Bannon who's currently only 23 years old, Bannan went on to sign a 3 month loan deal at the swans. The swans will look to pose more of a threat on the league this year, still setting their targets to avoid relegation but are hoping for a 13th place finish.

Swansea City today walked away with their heads held high, as they picked up a point against premier league champions, Chelsea. Both Games looked afraid to take the initial lead, and make an effort to score, until a gap in the back of Swansea's defence let Daniel Sturridge through to score a brilliant goal for Chelsea.

92 Minute Goal Saves The "Mighty Scousers"

gerrard_torres_liverpool-so-lucky.jpg

Liverpool 1-0 Swansea
Liverpool Goals: Kevin Robson (92+)
Swansea Goals: -----

It was all happy faces for Liverpool, but Carter turned attention to off the pitch stories and says: "I'm glad I didn't take over as Liverpool boss."

Daniel Carter has made a shock revelation today, claiming he's glad he didn't take the Liverpool Job. Carter was offered a 3 year contract at Liverpool, which he turned down to continue his success at Swansea.

After the game on Saturday, Carter made it clear he was dissapointed with the way his men lost the game, but fought till the end whilst he believed Liverpool only fought for the first 10 minutes. Carter claimed that's all Liverpool wanted to do, was counter attack against the relegation candidates, and Carter found this a insult to him and his men.

Carter's team were undone by a break away in the last minute, although Carter was left angry due to the goal was scored on 93 minutes, when only 2 minutes were added on. A close fought match, in which Swansea will be happy with their performance but not the result.

Brilliant story :)
Shame you had to go and knock Walsall out of the cup at the beginning ;)

United Escape Swansea With A Undeserved Draw
mufcwoe_g.jpg

Swansea City 2-2 Manchester United
Swansea Goals: Dimetar Berbatov (45) Mohammed Abdellaoue (46)
Manchester United Goals: Wayne Rooney (54, 89)

Manchester United will today be very upset and releived after they escaped The Swansea challenge with a draw At The Liberty.

Swansea gave everything they had today, claiming their second point of the season against a top 4 side, however Swansea Boss, Daniel Carter, felt it was unfair on his men to have a goal against them on 89 minutes. This isn't the first tim e this has happened, and Carter has made it known to his men a game of football is 90 minutes not until 85.

Carter will be happy with a point but not considering all 3 were up for grabs.

Swansea City Goals:
Nicky Maynard (82)

Swansea were taught a footballing lesson at Tottenham after being on the end of a 4-1 smashing with Ashley Young on top form for Spurs.

Swansea will be dissapointed after loosing 4-1, but it was a hard task to go to White Hart Lane and get a victory against a strong side.

Before the game, Swansea announced the singing of transfer-listed striker, Nicky Maynard from Bristol City and he came off the bench to get a consolation goal for The Swans.

Swansea 2-1 Newcastle
Swansea Goals: Mohammed Abdellaoue (29) Alan Tate (85)
Newcastle Goals: Dawid Janczyk (73)

Swansea City today celebrated an unlikely victory against Newcastle United, who went into the game 2nd in the league but an Alan Tate header secured 3 points for the Swans..

Alan Tate done Swansea proud today as the captain pounced on a free-kick to score Swansea's winner to claim their first league win of the season. The match started brightly for the south Wales side, and took the lead on 29 minutes through Abdellaoue. The swans held on, but couldn't stop a Newcastle goal on 73 minutes, from a corner. The swans pushed on, bringing on Bogdanovic upfront to make a 4-3-3 formation and the swans got their reward on 85 minutes when Alan Tate headed home for the swans.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 Swansea City
Wolves Goals: Sylvan Ebanks-Blake

Manchester United 4-0 Swansea
Manchester United Goals: De Vries (Own Goal, 10) Wayne Rooney (11, 39) Adam Ljajic (51)

Swansea 0-3 Burnley
Burnley Goals: Jo (50, 54, 61)

Swansea City will be dissapointed with their last 3 games, two away games and one home game all ended with defeat, while two matches ended with more than 2 goals conceded.

The swans travelled to Wolves, on the back of a victory to Newcastle but were unable to upset the odds, while Ebanks Blake finished on 69 minutes to end the swans' fun.

The swans then travelled to United for their League Cup 3rd Round, and the fun was ended in 11 minutes going 2-0 down in the opening minutes. Dorus De Vries scored an own goal to help united, which ended 4-0.

Meanwhile, the swans lost their third game on the trot to a highly polished Burnley performance, quick passing killed Swansea and a defeat looked obvious. Carter now has to get his men back to earth, keep them grounded for a away match against Sheffield United.

Goals from Darren Pratley & Diemetar Berbatov helped the swans to victory, with a highly polished performance. The swans worked hard, although Sheffield did threaten a few times. A John Arne Riise own goal got a consolation goal for Sheffield but it wasn't enough to deny the swans a victory.

Swansea taken down by The Albion

attachment.php
attachment.php

Swansea 0-2 West Brom
West Brom Goals: Gaston Fernandez (27, 39)

Swansea were brought back to reality after their victory against Sheffield United, with a 2-0 defeat against W.B.A, although the defeat didn't paint the full picture.

The swans may have lost 2-0, but it wasn't a full reflection on how the game went. The swans played overall much better than Albion, taking a staggering 20 shots at the WBA goal, but were unable to put any away. The swans would attack, but would make a mess of the final product and would leave a counter attack open for West Brom.

The swans were put under pressure from a Albion counter attack, and this is where the 2 goals came from. The swans must sharpen up infront of goal if they want to remain in the league. They currently stand in a safe 14th position.

Great story mate! And to get the Swans into the prem and survive is outstanding. quality signings too, and big thumbs up for staying loyal. keep it up, will follow

If you get relegated, consider your future mate, maybe one more season with them but I think it's goodbye to them soon,

who wants another update this evening? I will be weighing up my options at end of season. when swansea offer me new contract, I may reject it and then continue and see what happens. see how much work they do to keep me!

thanks for following.

November Update

_47664102_ashwills_huw512.jpg

Swans celebrate their victory against Everton

During the month of October, the swans were given some tough fixtures against the likes of Fulham, Everton & Manchester City. The swans started the month with a fixture against Newly-Promoted Sheffield United. A Comfortable victory for the Swans, ending 2-1 gave them the confidence for October.

Although they had beaten Sheffield, they moved onto a tough game against West Bromwich Albion. The swans were unable to keep up their form, and slumped to a 2-0 defeat to W.B.A.

Carter's men done ok during this month, going on to claim important victories against both Everton and Fulham. The swans coming from behind to secure a win against Fulham, but a brilliant team effort made swansea run out clear winners against Everton ending 2-0.

View attachment 97881View attachment 97883

Although the swans played so well, they still had one last match to play for October, and yes. It couldn't end happily. They had to face Manchester City. The swans were deemed to have "no chance" by the pundits before the game, and this turned out to be true. The game ending 4-1 to the sky blues, but never the less, The Swans claimed two victories which will help them in their battle to stay up this year.

Carter seemed very proud of his lads, and had this to say -

"Yes, it's a tough league. That's obvious for everyone to see, however I think our recent performances show that we aren't a "one year team" who are here just for a 1 year stay. We are looking to consolidate our place in the premier league, and so far it's paying off. Keep it going lads!"

December Update: PART ONE

pg-56-Eduardo-Reute_237217t.jpg

Eduardo Celebrates Scoring A Goal

Swansea City started a November month, with high expectations, hoping to win as many games as possible to remain in the premier league. Many would agree Swansea would hopefully do well, until they seen their first fixture. Arsenal Away.

The swans would travel to The Emirates, to play top of the league, Arsenal. Who had won their last 5 games. The swans got off to a nightmare start, going 1-0 down to a Juan Angel Albin goal, after 12 minutes.

Goals from Angel Rangel And David Goodwillie put the swans up on 33 minutes, who held a 2-1 lead at half time. The swans held onto the lead till the 90th minute, before cruelly being undone by a counter attack and Eduardo was nailed on too score, unmarked at the back post.

The swans then went on to a Sunderland fixture at The Stadium Of Light, and got taught a lesson by Darren Bent, who scored a hat-trick against the swans. A poor performance from Swansea endured the defeat by 3 goals.

View attachment 97887View attachment 97888

After two tough games, The swans faced Bristol City. The half-rivals posed no threat to The swans, after the swans cruised to a 4-0 victory against Bristol. Billy Sharp, picking up Man Of The Match Award, scored two perfect goals to help the swans to victory.

The swans also played host to Hull City at The KC Stadium, hoping to climb up the table with a victory. The swans started dreadfully, and were 2-0 down on 60 minutes. What could Carter do?

The swans came out fighting after that, bringing on two strikers, reverting to a 4-3-3 formation, Berbatov & Abdellaoue. The swans clinched a goal back on 62 minutes, Abdellaoue placing the ball into the right hand corner. The swans fought on, and equalized on 65 minutes, Berbatov came rushing in at the back post with a flying header to put the swans back on track and the 2,500 Swansea fans went MENTAL!. The two subs doing it for Carter which will make him even more happy.
The swans had it all to do to claim a victory, but a quick counter attack put Abdellaoue through for a shot, for Billy Sharp to pounce on the re-bound. The swans HAD DONE IT! 3-2.

Swans Coach Joins Doncaster As Manager

200px-Fernando_Silva.jpg

Fernando Mario Silva during his playing days

Swansea City's Official Website have today confirmed that Coach, Mario Silva has joined Doncaster as their new manager. Silva, who had a playing career at Swansea for 3 years, had been part of the backroom staff at Swansea during their time in the premier league.

Although Swansea have lost a staff member, it has been known the Swans agreed through mutual termination to release Silva, However, Swansea Chairman, Huw Jenkins, has recently declared himself "delighted" in a bizarre way following the departure. Huw Said -

"With all due respect to Silva, I am over the moon to see him join Doncaster. Silva gave us everything, and it's a shame to loose him but to go from being a player at our club, then appointed as a coach shows you have what it takes, but then to take the next step up and become a manager of a Championship side, well. Personally I think it shows a lot about Swansea City and us as a club."

Jenkins had made it known that Doncaster had tried to approach for Ex-Captain, Gary Monk to take over the role before turning attentions to Silva, but Huw and Carter rejected the approach. Jim Magilton, ex-Ipswich manager, who is now part of Swansea's back room staff has also been approached for the vacant Derby job, but has now penned a new 3 year deal at Swansea.

Unlucky against Arsenal mate, 2-2 is a great result but that 90th minute goal killed the surprised. Keep it up, doing well for a newly-promoted side.

December Update: PART TWO

Billy-Sharp-celebrates_2366251.jpg

Billy Sharp has been in outstanding form, scoring 5 goals in 6 games.

As you seen with the last update, the swans done ok during their first few games of December, claiming 2 victories, 1 draw and a defeat. The swans then went on to play their second set of fixtures for December.

The swans firstly took on Stoke City, a tough game at The Liberty which was won comfortably by the swans, quick passing and slick movement made it very easy to cut up the Stoke defence who are currently in the relegation zone, in 18th place. Goals from Billy Sharp & David Goodwillie helped to the victory.

The swans then travelled to an away game against Reading, many would brand that as "an easy game" but Swansea thought differently. A dodgy place to go, and tough to get a result. The swans found this out, coming away with a respectful 1-1 draw.

View attachment 97923View attachment 97922

So that's 4 points out of a possible 6 for Carter, and he was left happy. However I think he was less happy with his team's performance during their next fixture. Owen Coyle had just been hired as new Aston Villa Boss, with Martin O'Neil taking up the role as Manchester United Manager, so it was always looking difficult as the players would want to impress Coyle.

The swans played terribly, and ended up getting beat, and beaten fairly by 3-0.

-------

Things didn't look good for the swans, coming off a heavy 3-0 defeat against Villa, to face their next fixture. Ex-Champions Chelsea. The swans fought hard, but were under the cosh for most of the game, until a break away set Bebatov free to score the only goal of the game.

The swans defeat Chelsea, and now sit nicely in 9th place in the division.
