Hello Football Manager fans, its Artisan again and no I am not here to present another tactical recreation :p.

Instead this thread will be focussed on testing out all the top/popular tactics around against each other to see which one come out on top.

It should be mentioned that although the results may seem damning to some tactics or even helpful, this should not be used as a measuring stick for what tactic will be best in the actual game.

All the tactics being tested are top tactics and there are no AI teams for them to demolish. Instead they will be going against each other in a custom league, and Cup competitions.


This is something that used to be carried out on FM13 by another user. Can't quite remember who. So this is his idea just tweaked a little bit to play only against other uploaded tactics. In the future, I might test the tactic in realistic football manager situation but for now lets focus on this.

RULES
Teams are selected completely at random

Injuries are removed from all teams for every match

All teams have the same reputation

Morale is set to maximum from the start of every match.

Tactics are made to be 100% fluid from the start

Only one tactic per team so if there are home/Away/Defend etc only one will be used (I will wait about 30 mins to allow for the uplaoders to decide what tactic they want me to test and if I don't hear back in that time, I will choose on my own.

OTHER INFORMATION
This results I think will be interesting and fun and i am sure the matches will be fun to watch as well.

I will update with analysis of the top games of each week and provide screenshots and videos for each.


LIKE I SAID BEFORE.......DON'T JUDGE HOW GOOD A TACTIC IS SOLELY BASED ON THIS TEST. I JUST FELT IT WOULD BE FUN TO SEE WHAT RESULTS I WOUD GET.

Cheers mate, great post and i will be glad to follow it.
I believe it would be better to create new teams with the same players (ca and pa) so as to make it more equal and focus only on tactics.
It's just an opinion.

I thought about that but it just seemed too tedious to make all new players, staff, teams etc so just stuck with this. All the teams in the list are top teams anyway but i understand there will still be the strongest and weakest in the list.

All in all, nearly all these tactics are supposed to be decent with weaker teams so there should not be much discrepancies
 
This is actually an especially interesting test for me as i never use other peoples tactics so this is a chance for me to see how other peoples tactics work
 
you could save this game available for me to download and test my game? I used google translator because I'm from Brazil and do not speak Portuguese very well
 
Oh no...I'm gonna get crushed; Juve is terrible in this match engine (H)

But put me down for the next round of these - I have a new version I'm final testing today and it's loads better!

Juve are not that bad. Still it is about the tactic right and they have quality players. Will put you down for next round
