Tactics & Training: The " I have a small question " thread

in january i signed a player on a free for the end of the season we agreed contracts everythings sorted. however ive changed my mind im in march can i cancel the transfer

After the question that I made above about the philosohy, I switched it to rigid and so far I've got 10 victories in a row and I won 3-0 against Athletic and 1-0 against Sporting for champions. I saw the whole game against Athletic and now my players don't move forward as they did (I mean, sometimes, in a disorganized way). So fluid philosohy is always a bad thing to select? In a football game way: What's the difference between fluid and rigid philosohy?

With fluid players have higher creative freedom = they do more what they think is the best. Also defensive players have higher mentality with fluid, meaning they push more forward, and attacking players have lower mentality, so they are not always going forward for goal but play with little less risk.

If you don't have much creative players and your team ignores your tactical instructions, rigid is a good choise as they stick more to your game plan rather than do their own thing.

Is there any way to train goalkeepers "rushing out"?

How do i play Ronaldo on AMR?

Like what role winger, advanced playmaker etc?

Quote back please

I still have problems against bigger teams.I think my squad is pretty solid but after i get through to the quarter finals i get owned.any ideas?

What does it do if you tick Primary Playmaker? and would pastore be a good one?

is it possible to make a player which doesn't want to sign(his agent is saying that he is not curently interested in renewing bla bla bla) a new contract, to sign the **** contract?

cuz i've lost some players this way...i don't want to make the same mistake twice.

This is my current approach when using a Wide and flat 4321 ( MC-MC-MC-AMR-AML-FC)

When I start the match, I just use Counter without no shouts ( obviously)

balancecounter.png

When I want to hit them on the counter in a quicker and more direct way, exploiting the fact that the opponent is pushing up their d-line, I make the following shouts.

countergetballforwardpl.png

When I want to keep possession better, playing more slowly and in a more cautious and narrow approach but still wanting top be able to hit them on the counter when the chance is on, I use these shouts

counterretainpossession.png

As an example I was just playing home to Wolves in a game where I was a heavy favourite. As I still want to use the Counter approach, I started out watching the game in full mode( as always) and implemented the more cautious shouts after 10 seconds. When I was 2-0 up, they started to push their team forward and then I switched to the more quick direct approach. I then hit them on the break twice. AS they then started to play very cautious again, I lost possession due to the fact that they sat behind with the whole team. I then switched back to the more cautious and probing approach and regained possession, ending up wining the game 6-0

If wanting top play a quick game or a slow probing possession approach, you can still use a heading monster up front although I would never use him as a target man. If he is having a bad day or the supply to him is poor, we will loose out in possession too early in attacks and might get caught on the break ourselves

so i started using your tactig and it has worked well for me.depending on the situations i change the playing style as described.but now i play Arsenal and something has gone wrond.I start using the slow and cautious one, score a goal and then they change their tactic to att.I do the same changing it to the more direct and fast one using only shouts but i dont get any results. In the end we finish 1-1 but the shots on goal tell a different story. They have 23 shots, 9 of which on goal whereas i have 3, 2 of which on goal. What do i need to do?

Does anyone know anything about the amount of clicks you use on training meters, i have seen a guide that specifies a certain amount of clicks on the meter either 'maintain', 'improve' etc.? I have seen such a guide on los wonderkids forums, but it is from fm09 and wondered if this had been altered?

I have Jack Butland as a 20 year at QPR. I have top training facilities and my goalkeeping coaches are all 4.5 stars +.

At the moment he looks like this....

I've seen him be worth 4.5 stars later on in the game with different teams....

Any advice on how I improve him?

Hi all.

Would be very, very happy if somebody has a tactic I can use. I´ve been playing WBA for 7 season now(on 7th) and only won Lc, Fa cup(same year) and last year won Uefa Cup(against Chelsea 4-0)
I´ve never got higher then 7th in prem div but thats not bothering me.

What my problem is, is my Liverpool save(s).

Everybody know who the start with so I just give up who I bought and who I sold.

Sold: Skrtel, Gulácsi, Irwin, N´Gog and Jones and Jovanovic out on loan.
Bought: Smithies, Lukaku, Coentrao and Paulo Henrique.

It don´t matter who I sell or how I buy in my LFC saves, I cant get any tactic to work.

I´ve tried, 4-4-2, 4-5-1(few versions), 3-4-3, 4-1-2-1-2 etc and nothings, nothing at all works.
Fine squad and all.

I look a lot like RH at the moment but if there is someone out there then please help me, been playing all winter without being happy við my Liverpool saves.

Okay, I've got a problem too. Playing a 4-2-1-2-1 (2DM,1CM) and it works very well. Creating good chances and my opponents often only have chances with distance shoots. So my problem is that I'm getting tons of goals out of standard situations. Using the "standard" instructions how some people say doesn't work at all.
Has anybody a good strategy to keep my goal clean?

Hi guys I've got a bit of an issue with the training of one of my players who's been out for half the season with an injury (Nicky Maynard at Bristol City, if that helps!). Since he's returned to full-time training, his training levels are way lower than other players despite the fact he's scheduled to do the same training as them. As a result his attributes are getting progressively worse as the season goes on, I've tried changing his workload, giving him an individual training schedule, etc, yet nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

In various posts people talk about PPM - sorry for being dimwitted but what does it stand for ?

Load Dunc's training schedules, loan him out as well. Smithies is also a top goalie but you have to wait a few seasons until he's top notch. In other words - no quick fix.

It stands for Player Preferred Movements. You can find it by clicking on one of your squad's players, then Positions. It will then come up with several things that the player you just clicked on prefers to do in a match. Sometimes he may do things that disrupt you tactically (i.e. you play fluid, attacking football and he 'Dwells on Ball' so it breaks up the attack and slows it down)

You can talk to him through Private Chat and get him to add another preferred move or to take one off. Not all the time will they compromise, however.

Gonna start playing 4-1-2-2-1 with Man Utd. What role should I give my lone forward? It's like to be Hernandez/Berbatov/Macheda.

It is much more often that they do not compromise, rarely I can get them to learn what I want.
