This is my current approach when using a Wide and flat 4321 ( MC-MC-MC-AMR-AML-FC)
When I start the match, I just use Counter without no shouts ( obviously)
When I want to hit them on the counter in a quicker and more direct way, exploiting the fact that the opponent is pushing up their d-line, I make the following shouts.
When I want to keep possession better, playing more slowly and in a more cautious and narrow approach but still wanting top be able to hit them on the counter when the chance is on, I use these shouts
As an example I was just playing home to Wolves in a game where I was a heavy favourite. As I still want to use the Counter approach, I started out watching the game in full mode( as always) and implemented the more cautious shouts after 10 seconds. When I was 2-0 up, they started to push their team forward and then I switched to the more quick direct approach. I then hit them on the break twice. AS they then started to play very cautious again, I lost possession due to the fact that they sat behind with the whole team. I then switched back to the more cautious and probing approach and regained possession, ending up wining the game 6-0
If wanting top play a quick game or a slow probing possession approach, you can still use a heading monster up front although I would never use him as a target man. If he is having a bad day or the supply to him is poor, we will loose out in possession too early in attacks and might get caught on the break ourselves
