5 wins from our 6 games is something we can't really complain about, but I was pretty annoyed to get beat in the league against Stade Rennais. After beating Roma, the draw for the rest of the Europa League was made and here is how it panned out...

Player of the Month - Paco

View attachment 471863

6 goals this month from the Brazilian, he is quickly becoming a world class striker...

Player Stats:

View attachment 471862

27 assists from Cisse is pretty impressive and youth academy graduate Cesbron continues to impress when he gets chances.

League Table:

View attachment 471860

Still a chance of the title but we could equally drop out of the top 3! We need 16 points from our last 9 games to improve on our points total from last year.

France Under 21's:

View attachment 471859

2 routine victories to start my reign in charge! We're top of our qualifying group with 16 points from 6 games.

Next update will be a very busy April, including 4 league games, 2 Europa League ties against Stuttgart and a Coup de France Quarter Final against Stade Brestois 29...

A great month sees us stay very much alive in all 3 competitions. We made it through quarter final ties in both the Coup de France and the Europa League and take a 1-0 lead into the home leg of our Europa League Semi Final against Ajax. In the league we managed to pick up 10 points from a possible 12, including a great 4-0 victory away at Lyon!

Player of the Month - Jean Baptiste-Cisse

4 goals, 3 assists and 2 MOM's this month from the lad.

The only team that we can not currently catch without other teams doing us a favour is Monaco. PSG are 3 points ahead of us with a better goal difference and 1 more game played, but we play them in our next league game which will be pivotal to our title hopes.

Not to sure what the next update will be as I'll need to see how the fixtures pan out. If we reach any cup finals I will write them up in a separate post though.

Paris FC vs Valencia CF

View attachment 471713

A capacity crowd of 50,000 in Brussles saw Paris FC take home their first ever major European trophy after a 3-0 victory over Spanish giants Valencia. The match was all about one man, our Brazilian striker Paco whose 2 goals 10 minutes either side of half time were pivotal in swinging the clash in our favour. This means we could have an all French European Super Cup next season if Marseille retain their Champions League trophy in the final against Manchester United.

Next update will be a May review, before we play our Coup de France Final against relegation threatened LEMANS, who beat PSG in their Semi Final. Can we manage to win our first French title and, if not, can we at least manage to finish in the top 3 and secure Champions League qualification?

Unfortunately, the amount of fixtures we had to play in May really cost us this season so I'm going to blame some awful scheduling on our two defeats in the league. In both games we were just too tired to match the opposing team despite attempting to rotate the squad to the best of my ability. The positives however were our historic Europa League victory and also managing to make it to our 2nd ever Coup de France Final!

Couldn't decide between the two Brazilians so they can share it!XD

Player Stats:

View attachment 471705

Many strong performers but Jalal El Amrani had a better first season than I ever imagined he would!

League Table:

View attachment 471704

Once again we improve on our points total from the previous year (80 this year to 75 last year) but we drop a place to 4th in the league which means no Champions League football for us next season, unless Marseille can beat Manchester United in the Champions League Final. Disappointing to fall way in our title challenge but I can only be happy with our performance in the league since we improved on last year, despite having to play many more fixtures!

Other News:

1)
Some of our players win annual Ligue 1 awards...

I'm offered the PSG job just days before our Coup de France final. A £51,000,000 transfer budget... will I take it?

So my next update will either be a Coup de France Final update or a pre-season update with PSG...

LEMANS FC vs Paris FC

View attachment 471691

Another trophy in the bag! I would have hoped that we would have made this a little more comfortable, but considering they took 6 points off us in the league I suppose I should just be happy with the win.

It looked like we were stumbling towards a boring 1-0 victory before LEMANS equalized in second hald injury time. Chances in extra time were limited, but when we did create a chance we were lucky it fell to Paco who buried it in the 116th minute to send us away 2-1 winners and give us our second Coup de France!

The bad news is that despite winning two cups this season I am not yet a club legend, so I won't be asking the board for a new stadium just yet. The awful news is Manchester United beat Marseille on penalties in the CL Final so we miss out on the Champions League next season and the financial benefits it brings. At least we get the chance to defend our Europa League I suppose...

Next update will be an end of season review with Paris FC, as of course I didn't accept the PSG job offer!

Did a mini fist bump at that Europa League win, great achievement!

Despite looking like a bit of a meth addict, Paco looks an incredible player.

You need to stay at Paris FC, I foresee a Ligue 1 title next season :D.

Cheers mate!

Hopefully only being in the Europa League next season means I'll be able to focus on the league a bit more in the first half of the season and I'll be in a better position to deal with a congested fixture list towards the end of the season if it occurs.

Oh and I haven't been making Paco take performance enhancing drugs... I promise ;)

Yay considering you are at the end of your season, can you upload this save pretty please :)

My plan for the coming season is to be very careful in the transfer market unless something comes up which I can't turn down as we won't have the riches of the Champions League next season.

Next update will be a season 8 preview.

Season 8 Preview - 2019/2020

Transfers:

View attachment 471333

A nice £10,000,000 profit made so far, mostly due to the sales of my backup center mids Rodney Strasser and Michel. The first 3 incoming transfers are the previously agreed bosman transfers, here they are in case you never saw those updates...

View attachment 471332View attachment 471331View attachment 471330

We then brought in 2 youngsters, one on a free from Denmark and one for 900k compensation from RC Lens.. The left back has gone straight out on loan for first team football and the striker will sit in my under 19's for at least 2 seasons.

View attachment 471329View attachment 471328

The last incoming transfer was to bring in experienced striker Gregory Nade from Cluj for 200k. He will never play for the team in all likelihood, but I needed a striker to tutor a couple of 5 star potential strikers in my youth team and he will be perfect for that with his 20 determination!

Squad:

View attachment 471326View attachment 471325

I'm very happy with the squad for this season. We've got a good first 11 and capable backup players in all positions really. I'm only going to go into the transfer market during the remaining time in the transfer window if I think it's a really good deal or a player I can't turn down.

Ligue 1 Transfers:

View attachment 471324

The transfer window is dominated by PSG once again. They let go some pretty good players but bought some great players again, especially Australian Nick Parr. Here are their 3 big signings...

Board Expectations:

View attachment 471320

The board want us to qualify for the Europa League through the league but I want our first French title! I'm a lot less confident though after looking at PSG's signings...

Trophee des Champions:

View attachment 471319

Unfortunately we couldn't grab our first piece of silverware of the season as we lost the French curtain opener against Monaco. We were missing 3 key players due to them still being away for the Copa America and were missing a few more through injuries. It was nice to see our youth academy graduate Jacques Torres get on the scoresheet of the bench though. Here he is...

Transfers:

Brought a young Nigerian anchor man in for £1,500,000. He'll probably get quite a bit of game time in the Europa League and cups, hopefully allowing him to develop into a top class alternative to El Amrani.

Fixtures:

7 points from 3 games is a decent start, but the performances have been poor and we've not been creating too many chances. Luckily our defense has been solid and we've kept 3 clean sheets. Attacking match preparation for the next few games I suppose.

Player of the Month - Sergey Durnev

View attachment 471299

The Russian left back has slotted straight in and been very impressive. Hopefully he can keep these performances up throughout the season!

Player Stats:

View attachment 471298

This exemplifies how our season has started. The defensive players mainly have impressive average ratings whilst the average ratings of the attacking players, especially my striker and wingers, are poor.

League Table:

View attachment 471295

Marseille and PSG set the pace in the league. It's a long season though and hopefully once the Champions League starts they'll both start dropping some points in the league.

European Super Cup:

View attachment 471297

Outclassed by the Champions League winners. They dominated the game and fully deserved their win!

Europa League Group:

View attachment 471296

A perfect group. None of these teams should cause us any problems and I'm hoping to play a backup side in all the games and use the competition to bring through youngsters, at least in the group stages anyway.

Next update will be a September review. Hopefully we'll improve on our drab attacking performances and start well in the defense of our Europa League.

A good month, winning 4 games out of 4 in the league. This did include us having to come from behind in the last two games after falling behind, but I suppose the only important thing is the end result. We also drew in our only Europa League Group game, in probably our hardest game away at Olympiakos. A decent result considering we played a completely different 11 from the game before.

Player of the Month - Marcos Cantillana

View attachment 470889

The Chilean center back has been on top form this month, including scoring a brace in the comeback against Nancy.

Player Stats:

View attachment 470888

I'm still not happy with Paco's form up front, but Cisse is proving to be our driving force going forward, with 3 goals and 3 assists in 9 games.

League Table:

View attachment 470887

3 teams at the top are all performing pretty well and Marseille still have a 100% record. We're playing PSG next so hopefully we can beat them and pull ahead of them early on.

Other News:

1)
We get ANOTHER new feeder club. This time in the form of Belgian side Charleroi, with the aim of securing some of the top young Belgian talent. Who knows, it may help us unearth the next Hazard, Kompany or Fellani!

Fixtures:

A pretty good month in which we stay unbeaten in the league, pick up 6 points from 2 games in the Europa League and progress past Montpellier in the Coup de la Ligue. The big game this month was the draw at home to PSG. I was pretty happy with the result as they dominated most of the game but we were able to get a late equalizer.

Player of the Month - Kenneth Tsotetsi

View attachment 470723

The South African international came in when we first got promoted to Ligue 1 for 600k and despite showing a lot of inconsistency, he has averaged above 7 every season. This month has been his best month ever though, scoring 4 goals and averaging an 8.2 rating from the ball winning midfielder role, including a hattrick!

Player Stats:

View attachment 470721

League Table:

View attachment 470720

Marseille pull ahead of the two Paris sides by 3 points and Monaco have a good month to come within 2 points of us. Nice to still be unbeaten after 10 games though.

Europa League Group:

Pretty comfortable so far as expected.

Next up will be a November review, can we close the gap on Marseille at the top of the league?
