We've got ourselves back in touching distance of Leyton Orient and we have a game in hand too. We have one of the best defensive records in the league which is pleasing. It's still very close at the top and with lots of games coming up in December, we need to make sure we keep up this form.

Hot prospect Ben Kennedy wins the young player of the month.

A clean sweep, with Tom Pett, who has been performing very well in Chris Whelpdale's absence, claiming the award.

I pick up my second manager of the month award. Again, credit to the squad, who have responded very well after our indifferent October.

When you win them it's a fantastic feeling, but to lose a penalty shootout, when you are one step away from a final is heartbreaking. Young talent Ben Kennedy who's been in fine form, was the unlucky person to miss the important spot kick, as we lose out to League One side Peterborough.
If we had gone onto win, we'd of been drawn against Wycombe, who we've beaten this season already, but it wasn't to be.

Ben Kennedy continued his impressive goal scoring form, but it wasn't enough today to seal the three points for us. We conceded a last minute equaliser, which is a real kick in the teeth as I was hoping we'd done enough to see out the game. With two more games to come over the festive period and a small squad, I'll need to manage the players to ensure we don't suffer from fatigue.

Another game, another draw. Alexis Sainmirat bagged his 21st and 22nd goal for us, as we came from behind to claim a vital point.
We really struggled in the midfield department and I'm concerned that we'll miss Dean's ability in the heart of our engine room. With Charlie Lee also missing due to a two game ban, we lacked the tenacity both players have provided us over the first half of the season.

We end the year with yet another draw. With respect to our opponents this was a game we should've really won. Again, we conceded in the final minute of the game and with a couple players suspended and Dean Parrett out injured, maybe I'll have to look to bring in one or two more in January. We're starting to become tired of late and with more games to come, I can't run the risk of the players burning out and ruining all our hard work.

We end the year in top spot. Leyton Orient are only a point behind, but Portsmouth and Plymouth Argle are still in the hunt, so we'll have to be on our guard if we are to finish the season in first place in another five months.
Looking back I feel we are above expectations currently and have put ourselves in a brilliant position to get promoted. January will be a big month for us and if we can strengthen in one or two areas, I feel we can have a successful second half of the season.

This was a valiant effort against a Premier League side. My young team matched Norwich for large periods and there was a lot of positives to take from today. If we maintain this level of performance, we stand a very good chance of winning the league. As for our FA Cup run, though it's come to an end, we can be very proud of getting this far and being competitive throughout.

I've worked with Jaanai during my time at West Ham and was very impressed with the potential he showed when he joined from Peterborough.
We need cover up front for Alexis Sainrimat, who has been showing signs of fatigue lately, so I hope Jaanai will be a good replacement for our leading scorer.

Huge disappointment today, as we fail to beat a side struggling towards the lower parts of the table. Jaanai Gordon got his first goal for us on his debut and it was a superb finish. We then doubled our lead shortly after and I thought the points were in the bag. But our high levels dropped off with twenty minutes to go and then found ourselves level with ten to go. Again, like so often we got back in front and we should've held on. With only minutes remaining we switched off at the back and allowed Kudus Oyenuga to salvage a point.

A superb three points. We beat a Plymouth side that were looking to close the gap on the automatic promotion places. We are beating the teams around us at the moment, which is always good, but I'm still frustrated that we are dropping points against the so called easier teams in the league.
