no7 has had injury set backs. it not like arshavin. ashavin has been playing all time, but only sometime he's good. rosicky is just getting anonymous

The injuries have ruined him. He's just not good enough for the Premier League anymore.

Might go back to Germany.

I think he's perhaps not good enough for Arsenal; He probably is still PL standard but I wouldn't want him to sign for another PL club. As I say, I wouldn't mind bringing in someone fresh to replace him but it's a big pity - great player at his peak & had a great future at Arsenal until those ******* injuries.

First Denilson, now Bendtner... Is it my birthday?

I have been hearing that Clichy wants to leave 2, is this some mass exodus of players from Arsenal taking place?

That rumour came out ages ago, and has little to no reliable foundations as far as I'm aware. It's the same with Nasri in that neither of them signed contracts during the season (they both end next season), but Arsenal/Wenger never enters negotiations mid-season anyway. He promised back in November or something that Nasri would be offered a new deal at the end of the season and there's little evidence that Nasri isn't interested although there may be some dispute over wages.

Clichy has been reported as wanting to go to/having interest in him from Juventus, but I'm pretty sure his agent came out and said that they [the rumours] aren't true.

The "mass exodus" is two players - one fringe player who Wenger clearly has no intention of keeping and one over-confident player who had "show-down talks" and has decided he isn't getting enough playing time. Wenger was interested in keeping him, hence playing him wide etc. (Possibly trying to appease him) and is now simply respecting his and his agent (father)'s wishes by allowing him to leave. It won't be a Summer Overhaul and anyone that says there will be is talking out of their abnormally large arsehole and don't know anything about Arsenal.

To clarify: Wenger WILL spend, and will probably sign 2/3 players (One "big", one/two replacement squad players and some young players, like Carl Jenkinson). I know that Wenger put in a bid for Ribery to see if he'd take a pay-cut but I don't know what the result of that was. It may not have been a completely serious bid but he had to have a bid accepted in order to discuss personal terms with him and his agent.

Oh.

Alcaraz - you're brilliantly reliable source was Goal.com which provides all of zero quotes:

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that the first-team squad will be playing a pre-season friendly in Malaysia this summer.

Arsène Wenger’s side take on a Malaysia XI at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, July 13, kick off 8.45pm local time. This game will be the first leg of Arsenal's Asian Tour. Details of the second leg will be announced on Wednesday.

Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said: “Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is excited to be visiting Malaysia.

“The Club has a tradition of playing there going back to the 1960s. This will be our fourth visit to Malaysia, having last visited Kuala Lumpur in 1999.

"We enjoy huge support in Asia and this will help bring the Club closer to our fans out there.”

HRH Prince Tengku Mahkota of Pahang added: "It is an honour for Malaysia to host Arsenal, I don't think any other national teams get such opportunity. This is a rare opportunity for our Malaysian national team as they prepare for the Olympics and ahead of the World Cup."

What the **** are you on about? You said you saw a rumour, I checked the BBC Gossip page which listed Goal.com as the source. Think it was a fairly safe assumption for me to make.

Not sure why you're getting your knickers in a twist because I pulled you up on something which clearly isn't true and since Goal.com says "exclusive", I assume they're the original source for whatever you have seen wherever you saw it. (They may be wrong, but they wouldn't claim exclusive if they pinched it off someone else),

take a deep breath and calm down... Reliabilty of my source does not matter anyways as I mentioned it was a rumour

Eh? You're the one who had a go at me for no reason...

Reliability does matter, though because it meant I was able to largely dismiss it. You can post whatever you want re: Arsenal on here - reliable or otherwise but don't then get offended when I say your (probable) source isn't reliable.

Watching Arsenal.com's Goal of the Season candidates: Good/Interesting point raised: Is RvP the best volleyer in the Prem?

Was wondering could he be moulded into a new RVP. Without the injuries hopefully. Didn't RVP also start as a winger/ wide forward?

kind off. but rvp was a bit close to the berkamp style. (if not for injury's , and he was young he he came to arsenal)

he can ply in wing though. AW turns wingers to strikers, just like henry.

Love that everyone says we need a new CB who is strong, no-nonsense and can head just as Vermaelen returns. Forgot about him, didn't you? Naaah, let's just go and buy Cahill for £20M. He did really well today... And in Bolton's biggest game of the season of course. When the pressure was on. In the FA Cup Semi Final. Against Stoke. Oh.

i agree. its will be a waste of good cb tallents that he have so far. Kos is impressive (even if the carling cup blunder had on him), djouro need to concentrate. and squills can just be a sub cb.

this season was the missing piece of TV5 . last year was RVP, now tv5.

if vermalean had not got that achille ijury, we could have gone close (real close) to winning something then.

Full Barca squad plus a few Barça B players will be using Arsenals training facilities on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Not that it matters, just saying Barca will be using Arsenal's training facilities and good to see clubs helping one other.

We'll poison their lasagne ;)

Or maybe we'll strike a deal - they can train at London Colney if we can keep Cesc and get a guarantee they'll never talk about him in the press again :D

Lol, the first thing they will do on reaching Barca is talk about Fabregas after saying they wont while using your training facilities..
