Indeed. Other than a brand spanking new, energetic 31 year old English rock of a centre-back whose voice is so loud he qualifies as a "leader", I don't really know what we need to sort this tbh.

Are you talking about Matt Upson? ;)

Age 30+: Check

English Rock: Check

Loud Leader: Check

barca develops players, not buying often. so no chance they will get cese then, cuz biscuts is good enought for them.

note: look at what happen to Ibra once he left inter. one reason bacra snacthed villa soon the next season, ahead of real and manu.

I'd love for that to be true but you contradicted yourself within 2 lines and posted something generally non-factual.

Fabregas isn't Busquet's replacement. They play completely different roles, and Fabregas in the most basic description is simply higher up the pitch than Busquets, as well as having a more complicated job than simple ball-retention and the occasional cynical foul.

"barca develops players, not buying often" -- "look at what happen to Ibra once he left inter. one reason bacra snacthed villa soon the next season, ahead of real and manu."

I hope you see how you've contradicted yourself there. Barca develop players and don't often buy them according to you, yet you go on to mention two big money signings.

Also - Fabregas is not only better than Ibrahimovic, but would be more useful to Barca then he was to them. I doubt Barca would sign Fabregas and then immediately get rid of him again and sign someone else. He may be left on the bench but they have enough products in La Masia to cover for him and Xavi in the long-term with the two most likely candidates at the moment being Rafinha and Thiago. Oh and that Jon Toral-Harper bloke - oh wait.

My Summer In and Outs

In

  • Karim Benzema - Great striker and him and RVP would work well
  • A New CB - We need a good CB to challenge TV LK & DJ
  • Eden Hazzard - Would love him here we have no good wingers
  • New RB - I dont Trust Eboue as Sagna's Backup
  • New LB - Only if Gael Clichy leaves

Out

  • Manuel ALmunia - Liabilty and ****
  • Seb Squliacci - See Almunia :)
  • Denilson - See Almunia :)
  • Nicklas Bendtner - Wants first team football as a FC and not a Winger so he will go
  • Manu Eboue - Great Personality but poor backup to Bacs
and promote Lansbury and Bartley to the first team

That's because you were going to sign them without compensating the club, YOU CLASSLESS ***** YOU!

gonna be hard for ebuoeman. he just sign a-4 yer deal.

I swear you just post to annoy Joss, Calum. :P

Nope. Pretty much agree with all of that.

I don't know if Hazard is realistic because as far as I know, he'd rather go to Spain and if there's a bidding war, I don't see AW paying more than 25M.

I'd like to see Bendtner given another chance but I appreciate fans have given him plenty.

And the winner is...

Jack Wilshere of course, with a massive 41.4% of the votes for Arsenal Player of the Season, as voted by Gunners fans. Fully deserved!

I'd have given it to RVP personally. Even though he only played ~½ season i'd say he did enough to outperform him. Wilshere faded a bit from february-may, whereas RVP just picked up steam. I suspect Wilshere got a lot of votes for being English and "new", but he did have a very good season and he will have a big future with the club i believe.

I concur with all of this.

My summer in's and out's:

In's:
  • GK: Stekelenburg or Given
  • DC: Vertonghen. Just because he can play also as LB or DM/CM
  • LW/RW: Hazard
  • ST: Benzema or Falcao

Out's:
  • Almunia
  • Squillaci
  • Denilson
  • Rosicky
  • Bendtner
  • Traore

Also I think if Stekelenburg or Given would come in I'd like to see Fabianski loaned to other Premier team. Wigan, QPR and Szczesny's No2 with Mannone as No3.

Also Bartley and Lansbury to first team.

With these we could make serious challenge for CL and Prem titles.

Team 2011/12
GK: Stekelenburg / Given , Szczesny , Mannone
RB: Sagna , Eboue
CB: TV5 , Djourou, Bartley
CB: Vertonghen , Koscielny
LB: Clichy , Gibbs
CM: Song , Diaby , ( Vertonghen )
CM: Wilshere , Lansbury
RW: Nasri , Walcott
AMC: Fabregas , Ramsey
LW: Arshavin , Hazard
ST: RVP , Falcao / Benzema , Chamakh

we dont need a goalie !!!

we have Szsenszy and Man United have spent 19M on a goale the same age as him?

Trust Him

You need a goalkeeper if Almunia and Lehmann leave otherwise you would just have Szczesny and Mannone.

Oh and, De Gea > Szczesny
