Fair enough, I suppose.

We all know Wenger's stubborn financially and Nasri's performances have earned him a bumper contract..

Hope they sort it out ASAP. Getting a tad worried now - don't think he'd join Utd, though.

things would have to really break down, think united will watch without showing any real interest first

the thing is he's had one good half season does he merit the big wages boost?

the thing is he's had one good half season does he merit the big wages boost?

He's been good most of the season just that he was outstanding in the first half, got an injury in Jan, got switched to the left and lost a bit of form. He, like the rest of the team, lost consistency. The breakthrough of Walcott (and the shitness of Arshavin) meant he was forced off the RW where he'd thrived.

Speaking on French radio, Wenger said: “We have a financial disagreement which hasn't yet been settled. We are still in discussions but we haven't agreed a deal.”

Despite the current disagreement between the two parties, Wenger has reacted to Patrice Evra’s recent calls for Nasri to join him at Manchester United, as the Arsenal boss officially ruled out such a deal.

One thing's for sure, we're not selling him to United,” he said.

Following a fairly poor season defensively with backline blunder causing headaches so often, it has been reported that the club are looking to strengthen and add experience, something Wenger confirmed, with Chris Samba of Blackburn a player they have been heavily linked with.

I'd agree that we're after an experienced defender, maybe one who is used to the English game.”

Wouldn't mind Nasri at United. Its impossible though.. At least near to impossible.

And Damián Emiliano Martínez, Arsenal's 18 y/o Argentine goalkeeper, has received an emergency call-up for the NT, after an injury to backup keeper Ustari.

Asked what he would seek to add to his forward ranks, Wenger said: "World-class strength. Everyone is looking to reinforce their attack as it's always important to improve in that area of the team.

"We're also after an experienced defender, maybe one who is already used to life in the Premier League. That has been our weakness.

"But you should remember that we still had a better defence last season than a lot of other good teams, including Manchester City."

I don't think Nasri will go, I struggle to see anywhere where he will get regular first team playing time.

Excellent piece on the Fabregas scenario and how Barcelona instructed their players to circumvent the FIFA regulations by deliberately talking to the media about him:

Looks like its very well thought out on Barcelona's part, why would they go to all this trouble if they didn't really want him?
