This is it guys. This is a real England performance, this is the best bowling performance I've ever seen by England, and I've watched a ****** lot of cricket. In all truthness though, Australia's batting was very ordinary, the Australians weren't watching each other, just fishing and prodding outside the line and giving catching practice to Prior et all. All the batsmen threw their wickets away, apart from Ponting.
The commentators touched on a good point again, about the strength in depth of the squads. They are continuing to talk about the No. 6 role, giving good names of Brad Hodge and Callum Ferguson, both strong batsmen, aren't being given a chance despite their state averages and talent. Hughes was called into the Aussie side not scoring runs for NSW in Sheffield Shield, I think his average was around 17? Whereas England have many strong batsmen in reserve, Michael Lumb, James Hildreth, Michael Carberry. Again, the focus turns onto the spin bowling dilemma. Australia clearly don't have a spinner, Michael Beer is an unknown, and not their best spinner they have. I think Steven O'Keefe should be given a chance, good player in the T20s against Pakistan this year, should be given a chance. Australia's squad lacks any depth whatsoever, and half the side are bits and pieces cricketers. Australia should be punish for their errors, and
should be flumoxed by England
