Hey there, I'm going to try this tactic with my Antwerp team for the whole of next season atleast.
I just finished the 2nd season at place 7. The 1st season I brought the team from division 2 to division 1. My team has players that can play the required positions. I can't really make any signings since the Club is still in financial troubles. All I can do is sign free agents (preferably Belgian, can't help it.
) and use youth players, which I actually like quite a lot. (I normally use Arsenal to play in Fm, but decided to switch it up this year.)
Some stuff I noticed and have some questions about before I can start using the tactic really:
1. I noticed the LB and Left Winger both have 'Hug Touchline', won't this mean they'll get in each others way?
2. Wouldn't it be better if the right wing stayed wide and the left one cut in so the left back could do overlaps? Since the RB is more defensive minded and with the Box to Box mid playing on the right as well; won't they run into the same space?
3. My defenders are pretty bad at passing, should I still keep the through ball option on Often or switch it to Mixed or even Rarely?
These are the 3 most pressing questions I have on my mind. I like to be prepared. ^^ And since I don't know much about how the ME works and such, I thought it would be better to just ask before I really get going.
PS: I like the face there are 3 different ones, which is really needed in FM these days.
PSS: I haven't actually played a game using the tactics yet, since I'm about to get into pre season.
