Going by your into post - Is this how I should set my team as? I'm really confused which way round Thiago + Felliani go :S or even if I should be playing Thiago in the AMC role...

Hope you can shed some light :) Good tac none the less!

This looks good but it had one flaw, just as you supected and its the fact that in a 4231 ( or a deep 4231), the MCs really need to be able to both set up attacks AND defend. As Thiago Defensive Stats are really weak for a team like United, I do think he is best used as a AMC sub. He wouold be perfect in a 451 uinsg DMC-MC-MC as a Central Mid on attack but in this tactic you will struggle using him against middle teams packing the midfield with Ballwinners.

Naturally, you CAN still use him in the MCleft and DMCleft position but you will get weaker in defence.

( This is if his stats are the same as in the 13.3 databas

Yeah I see where you're coming from now. I'll try to train Thiago as a AMC (I never liked Kagawa/Rooney) and look to getting a better MCleft guy. Got any suggestions?

I would recommend looking at the best DMC/MCs from Seria A. Looking at their squads, you will see that most clubs have at least 2 of these players ( like DeRossi etc). Russian/Ukraine clubs also have a history of producing and developing these kind of players.

Apart from these, dont forget that you do have Carrick & Fletcher.

Lars Bender or Tachtsidis he's beast in my Roma save!

I must say, this is the first time I actually enjoy an Arsenal save. As I support them, I usually get angry when loosing but since I am on a winning streak.....:)

Very well thought out very well explained and no fancy name, Gonna give this a real crack and see if i cant take my fc united side to the next level

I think that using this approach and being aware of the importance of having harworking/workhorses in the middle or the park, one gets results.

Think I am going to put a bit of this into the OP, that before each game you Always have to look at how you are most liket to achieve your goals. Not only regarding the chosen approach, but also regarding players. Take United as an example, in some games, it might be great to use players like Nani on the wing but in some matches, a player like Valencia will be the better choice.

Next match, Nexcastle at home.

As this is a team that has really good DMC/MC/AMC, I was a bit scared of using the 4231 but hey, I am the migthy Arsenal so I went with it anyway. As my 2 best striker were injured, I went with........

...and as you see, he scored both the goals :D

Proud!

The reason for us not letting in goals (the zero conceding could naturally have been 2 or 3, its juts coincidence) is because I use the correct approach in each game to ensure that we have enough players behind the ball and that we keep our possession in "advanced positions " or at least with some players covering for the ball holder

( As I have posted the last 4 ones, I will wait until someone else does it so it does not seem like I am bumbing my thread
