yes I know, I have linked you to them in the post above yours. ( the link is also in the opening post of this thread)

Do you have a tactic that will fit Swanseas squad? Including the summer signings :)

Not as such, no. But if you can live without using Fullbacks, I think " The Gyroscope" could be a really nice approah. With the kind of players Swansea have in real life ( remember that their stats in FM might not replicate life real as I see it), I can totally see yuou enjoying the flow of the game, the posession based appraoch combined with swift counter attacks.

My question was if you have the other 3 tactic that changed three weeks ago. Before tactics were 4-2-3-1, 4-5-1 and 4-2-4 are now 4-2-3-1, 4-2-3-1 deep and 4-2-1-2-1. I really liked before. I find these tactics.

There were no such tactics. "The Different 4231" was ALWAYS these 3 tactics. No more, no less. Nothing has changed.

Thank you! Will try it, and maybe post some screenshots at the end of the season ! :)

In this post you say I have not included the “451/433”. I want those tactics not want to be heavy, I'm just looking for those tactics, sorry for explaining bad :)

Aha :D, its becasie you did not understand what I meant

"I have not Included" = "I did not make them "....because a 451/433 can stand on its own and can be both be Defensive as well as agressiv and attacking by just changing the strategy and settings. The 4231 cant be that, thats why you need the Deep 4231 and the 42121 to....and that is what that tactic is all about.

Before there other links, possibly me wrong but those tactics were good. Since I find these tactics proves that 4-2-3-1 with Murcia in 2nd division :). Thanks for your time.

I am going to focus on making a tactic for underdogs and lesser teams ( think Newly promoted team to the CCC/League one or a team in the BSP). Are there any suggestions on formations that you find the forum is lacking in ?

I do admit I could have better wide players for the role, but transfer budget dictated that I had versatile players. Results in the league are as follows

Chelsea away lost 2-1
Swansea away won 1-0
Norwich home won 2-0
Man United away drew 1-1
West Brom home won 1-0

Also,a suggestion in those matches at home where you have too much possession, then up the tempo with 30 %, then 30% again etc until you find your sweet spot.

Here is a Tactic that focuses the play using a core of hardworking players in the center of the park, spreading passes out wide. We flood the center of the park and drag the opponents in and out until they lose their initial positioning on the field, losing their man to mark

Looking at the defense, using no actual central defender, it’s important to actually use player in the DMC position that are string in the air when the crosses comes in.
Look at this as a philosophy, not an uploaded tactic file. To be able to get result with this approach, you need to either have the correct players from the start or build your team to suit it. It’s not a short term fix, but a long-term strategy, a way of thinking and playing football.

With this said, this approach is more likely to work with the top 6 teams in the top leagues in Europe

The Players
looking at the individual settings, you will see that some of them have been tweaked. Therefore, it’s important that you read this part to actually understand what kind of player this philosophy needs

The Defense
You really need smart fullbacks/Wingbacks and the Libero needs to really good. Here, I mostly look for a complete DMC that I retrain to this position

Fullback/Attack Libero Holding Fullback

The Midfield

The Engine of the team. Here, we combine hard work with technique and creativity. Make sure you have enough players that are smart enough to be able to benefit from this approach. As we don’t use any DCs, the Anchormen needs to be good in the air

Anchorman Anchorman

Central Mid/Support The False /BWM/attack

Out wide, we use players moving into channels to open up space, players linking up with play, roaming and providing width and finally, getting straight at goal when the option is on

The Left Winger The Linkman

The Attacker
Pretty straight forward. He should move into channels to open up space like an advanced Forward, but still hold on to the ball and link up with play rather than going straight for the goal like a poacher
Since we play with only one FC and the wingers are unlikely to be strong and good in the air, I would use a strong "tall" player rather than a midget.

Stats in general

e5ck.png

Just remember what makes winning team. You need some players being able to break the pattern, you need DMcs that are both able to break up attacks and launch a counter attack as well as holding on to the ball, dragging the opponents onto the them – up in the field - without losing it in a dangerous area.

Apart from the key aspects of having a determined squad with hardworking players in the back “6”, don’t neglect the most important stat, namely DECISION. Surely, you can get away with lots of players having 8-12 here, but in the end, you need to get players with much a much higher stat to win the CL.

Looking at the most important with the ball stats, it would be something in the lines of (i.e., not the whole truth). If having a player that sees a lot off the ball, then these stats are really important

Technique – What he can actually pull of
Creativity – The options he sees
Decision – What of those options he chooses
Skill stat (Dribbling, passing etc.) – How well he performs the action

Looking at players off the ball when attacking. If having a player that moves into channels, trying to open up space etc., these are even more important

Anticipation - How well he reads the game, think will happen
Decision- What he thinks he should do
Off the Ball - His ability to use the above to be in the right place in the right time

Looking at the off the ball Defending. If having players denying space, cutting angels, trying to push players wide etc., then they are even more important

Anticipation – How well he reads the game, think will happen
Decision – What he thinks he should do
Positioning – His ability to use the above to be in the right place in the right time
Skills (marking. Tackling etc.) – How well he actually performs the action

Now, if you have players that have a really important stat that undermines the other stats, then you will see him struggle in certain situations

Suitable clubs to build a dynasty with
With this, I mean building for the future.
Roma, La Viola, Spurs, Arsenal, FCK, FCBasel, Lazio, D.Zagreb, PSV, Ajax, Twente, Inter, Milan, Braga, Sociedad, A.Madrid, Hajduk,Rubin, Zenit, Brugge, Sevilla, Lech, Dinamo Buc, Bordeaux...

Shouts

As the team sliders have been tweaked, they won’t have the intended effect so stay away from them

Playmaker
None as such

Target Man
None but in theory, you could use any of the FCs

Match Prep
Has nothing to do with the tactic itself and you have to use the one that suits your team.

Training
Think Barcelona, BM
Results
Will keep updating with screens

TBH, really want to manage like Mourinho does!

So I was thinking about using the 4-5-1 counter for lesser teams? Is it new as I have only just found it!!!

Its a tweaked version of my FM12 Tactics so yes, its new. It's a really good approach but don't use it with a top team as its an approach to exploit space, not create it.
