***THE BETTER HALFS TACTIC UPLOAD & DISCUSSION

How do you know if we need to use the normal or the mirror version ?

What are the weakness we had to know about the opponent to decide wich formation started the game ?

The Mírrored versions is for those that have great AMR and ML. The normal is using AML and MR so its not about the opponent, its about YOUR squad.

Hi. I've been browsing the forums for a long time, but this is my first post cause I really see some great potential in this tactic. So far I've played a few games with a strong (though quite young) Bayern team way into the future (2022). Won all 4 games and here's some thing I've noticed (bear in mind tactic is not fluid yet, but it's close to that): - Both mine and opponent's defenders seem to be more prone to stupid mistakes giving free one-on-ones to opposition striker - Rather leaky defence in general, especialy when opponents try to equalise and press me more - Usually my opponents play very defensive, which doesn't allow all the nice moves you showed us, but it still looks much better than I got used with this match engine. I mean, my wingers still run through everyone from time to time, but at least I now see some nice through balls and some one-twos. What I'd really love to do is to convert it to a new tactic, so I can easily change mentality in game with shouts. I'm going to start by using the player roles you suggest in OP. I'm thinking of leaving all player insttruction to standard and change them with 3 general shout combinations for attacking, counter and control approach. Would you suggest trying that, or to start with the individual player and team iinstructions that already exist and tweak those with shouts?

You can use both types. The important is that you have a good balance in your team

Here is a quote from a user at SI

"im on classic altho so i did it in tc, using my interpetion.. counter, very fluid zonal short passing, rest on default, roles dm s dlp d dw a am s if a and adv f a, was winless 3-4 games in, only tried one game, and seriously ripped bolton apart, winning easy 3-0 60 - 40 possession"

So basically, he is using the following setup, using the roles given above
Very Fluid
Counter
Zonal
Shorter passing

BetterHalf Hello, my name is Richard and I write to you From Italy!
I really admire your tactics and especially asymmetric ones!
I wanted chidere advice, I'm trying a tactic very similar but with the Tactic Creator.
The question I wanted to ask is, how to set style of play (very stiff, rigid, balanced, etc.) and strategy game (defense, standard, counter, control, etc.), using precisely the TYactic Creator?
Thanks in advance for your answer

The answer is actually given in the post above yours :)

I'm trying to create my own tactic in FM 2013 for a brand new game with Leeds Utd in the Championship. I've played FM for a few years but have always used other peoples tactics, I've decided to have a crack myself.

From looking at the Leeds team it seems they don't have an awful lot of passing quality in the middle of the park, so I'd be less inclined to go with a slower, more patient passing style.

Instead I thought I'd go more traditional 4-4-2 - I'll have 2 hard working, water carrying types occupying my central midfield roles who play simple balls to those around them (particularly wingers and forwards). These players would then influence the game in the attacking third. I was thinking I'd go with classic direct wingers who get to the byline and whip balls in to feed the men up top.

That's my vision, problem is I don't really know how to put this approach into the game successfully (Or whether it's a good idea at all) - I'm a big football fan and like to think I know a thing or 2 about the game, I just don't know what options to manipulate in the game to achieve what I want... Does that make sense?

What match prep do you do,any team talks

Mainly Defensive positioning as it's a counter attack tactic but It depend on the strengths and the weaknesses of my opponents. My man handling and coaching is done in an in- depth way, I do it like I would in real life.

witch tactic is best? Modern Warfare ore The BEther Half?:D

In my opinion this one is better more balanced and stable btw. currently have 50 game unbeaten run with PSG in second season and still continues :)

Air Review.

I am Macclesfield in the BSP

I took over half way through the season (started unemployed) and they were in the bottom three.

Tactic is knowwhere near fluid yet however I have found this tactic to be solid defensively while showing some promising attacking movement..

One thing though i have found is = The CM is vital.. he has to be one of your best players with good creativity.. without this i find the tactic is ineffective going forward..

Agree. He has the role of a DLP on support.
