Fair enough but tomorrow as a supporter i want to know what system he is thinking on using, any new staff he wants, players in/out (he proberly wont answer to be fair) and anything he is thinking of changing i.e training methods etc.

he probably wont reveal anything about system and players. maybe he will reveal new staff but that would be all. its dumb to say 'i will play 4-3-3 attacking style with neymar left and sanchez right, torres/falcao in the middle' :D

i just want to see something new, unseen till now. more width, cuz we lacked width last season, and beautiful football, like we played in 09-10 campaign and brought us the Double. thats what I wish for.

Exacly, i had a massive rant at some johnny come lately Chelsea fans the other day on a forum for thinking he is the next Jose. Appart from both being Portugese, never being pro and pretty handsome they couldnt be more different footballing wise.

He wont reviel any players but to name the system he likes would not be a bad thing. We need more width and more creativity simple as that. Our backline is class and has been for years but we need re-vamping upfront.

Juliano Belletti has been forced to retire early due to an injury. Huge shame but he will be rememberd at Chelsea forever in my eyes, the man will go down as a cult hero (not quite club legend). His goals away to Boro and Wigan stand out the most for me, even though i have forgotten the penalty he gave away in the FA cup final against Portsmouth (mainly because Cech saved it and we went on to win).

For anyone who lives in the stone age (or has a life) this man is currently tearing up the U17 World Cup with Ivory Coast scoring 8 goals in just 3 games including a hat-trick against Brazil (a game in which Lucas Piazon scored). This man (boy) is only 16 and Real Madrid have moved fast to sign him up but i am hearing Chelsea have been alerted to the man they call the new "Drogba. Im thinking with Chelsea's African and especialy Ivorian links he could be pursuaded to join Chelsea insted.

Odd timing, just as Sammy Lee leaves, leaving Clarke to be the assistant, Di Matteo's announced as Chelsea assistant.

I was too busy updating PES2011 i didnt check the news for 2 hours and look what happens lol.

Very happy indeed and i just jizzed....alot.

A proper Chelsea legend comming back to the club and it seems the right choice from Boas/the club because i think they have simular ideas on styles of football so it could be a match made in heaven. Hope Newton comes back with him too as a coach of somesort, not so much a legend himself but still thought of in a very good light at Chelsea.
 
Even though i shouldnt wish our rivals well best of luck to Chelsea next season. DiMatteo knows the club well and seems to have the same ideals as VillaBoas so could be a matchmade in heaven. They seem to have a good foundation to build on. Lets just hope Roman doesnt get trigger happy again.
 
finally things start to look up again, first AVB now Di Matteo... a really top class partnership seems to be forming here, very excited about the upcoming season now seeing 2 of these quality Tactical minds in our dugout

heard they dont even talk to each other now... although AVB did say that Mourinho was an inspiration in his life after he won the Treble with Porto... I think AVB thinks that if we fans pay a decent amount of quid for a ticket to watch the game, we deserve a spectacle and good attacking football and while Mourinho is right in his own way so is AVB

I still remember him saying that his one disappointment with the Europa League Final was that it was not the spectacle it promised to be
 
Im not sure whats going on now. I mean, he was a manager, now hes making a step back in his managerial career OR he is making an ENORMOUS step ahead. well, time will show. Im not that excited though. I mean, would he [DiMatteo] be the perfect choice for an assistant? Probably AVB should have taken his assistant from Porto, who they had made a good team with, and won the treble, BUT he might have been a problem as maybe he doesnt speak english.
P.S. I really hope AVB made this choice , not Roman. cuz that would be gross.

I think this would have been a decision made by both partys.

Just purchased my last 2 tickets for the Chelsea-Pompey friendly so im pretty chuffed, just waiting for the AVB press conference now.

His assistant got offered the Porto job, so he stayed with them. Di Matteo is just gaining experience he's only young there's no rush for him to be managing a club atm. Don't see why he wouldn't be a perfect assistant and he's a Chelsea legend, don't know how you can't be excited about this tbh.

He's just said that there's no hard feelings with Mourinho but they haven't talked in a while because they're both very busy.
