I never said im not happy about it, i said im not THAT happy, i would have been happier with Zola for example. :) but Di Matteo is good, maybe its better than Wilkins.. we will see though :)

as for the press-conf, another conf with dumb questions asked by press...
AVB is a funny guy, i like him :D

Didn't say you did, you said you weren't that excited, but I'm delighted with his appointment.
 
This is turning out to be a good start for us.... what a backroom AVB has put together

Matteo, what a fantastic appointment, very few assitants in the Premiere League who actually have managed a club in the Premiereship before

unless barca dont buy him. and im not dreamin at all, its between us and them at this point, as city stepped out of chasing him. And how exactly did you find out that we have never been in the race? post some source as you are well informed i guess and im not?
 
Now that we got housekeeping matters done and dusted up, I am expecting some serious transfer news in the coming weeks as we look set to actively pursue our targets and bring them to the Bridge

He is likely to sign for Barca and if not i think he will stay. It's the way it works....when a big club is interested in a player the media throws another big club in the mix just to make the story even bigger. Chelsea, Madrid and City are the clubs who get linked with everyone.

It's easy to throw Chelsea in the mix...same with City. But only a few sources have side noted a Chelsea interest. It's not between Chelsea and Barca because Chelsea aren't interested atm. That could change but this Villas-Boas appointment only gave the media another reason to link him with Chelsea. It seems to have worked...

you really dont back up your statements with credible sources... a few weeks ago every credible source was writing that we are this closer to getting Hiddink and Hiddink is the man, no other person was even getting a mention but out of the blue, we sealed the deal for AVB in 2 days so anything can happen realistically

If you remember correctly Zola's stlye was get the ball too the big man (Carlton Cole). But Di Matteo's likes the same attaking football as Boas.

In fairness Zola played good football first season, not his fault the Hammers players couldnt give two *****
 
Delighted with Roberto's appointment, given the personalities of both him and AVB, I think they will get on more than say if Wilkins came back.

& @CJACKO, that Ivorian youth striker, he looks pretty insane for his age (like on drugs insane). Plays alot like Eto'o from what I've seen so far.

On the Sanchez situation. Is there much difference between City and Chelsea? Both good squads, both playing champions league and both capable of paying big wages. If he doesn't want to join City would he want to join Chelsea?
