not really... when has the last time u have seen someone coming onto your club discussion thread and saying Man Utd will be ****** in years time I bet even though I dont know their future plans to solve this problem etc.

A good example is that when Rooney was in **** form last year no one really cared but when Torres is in bad form this year everyone is onto him saying he will never regain form etc.

Now dont get me wrong, I am not saying that Chelsea fans are victims, we and I ;) certainly are not innocent either but I do believe that there are a more arguements that spring up on here for pointless reasons than anywhere else

Never mentioned anything about United, point is it goes both way on all forums with various redundant arguments, as FBP noted already.

Big difference between Rooney and Torres, Rooney regained formed second half of the season, Torres hasnt shown any real form in 18 months

People do come on saying that about United, i just slap figures in their faces, hard to argue with facts

tbh mate Torres has had to move during the January Transfer window which is tough for any player and considering the fact that he was brought on a British Record Transfer Fee plus with the media and the fans scrutisnising his game from every angle its hard to say that he had a easy time at Chelsea and in the first 6 months of this season he played under an incompetent manager who just asked his mids to knock down long balls for Torres to chase

Problem is our figures show we are in losses but many people fail to recognise that we obviously have a plan to get these figures propped up, Roman is a big supporter of the FFP and its pretty common sense that he and the Chelsea Board is devising some sort of plan but yet some people love to look at current figures and then conclude that we are ****** without even bothering to find out what are our future plans to make us break even... Roman is not a stupid guy but when i say that I get slapped in the face with articles about this corruption and that but lets face it, at the end of the day he knows more about finance than all of us

In fairness, saying that he has a plan doesn't stack up. No one has failed to recognise that he may have one, doesnt change the facts that chelsea have a tough challenge, nor does it guarantee any success. Because based on the current figures chelsea are screwed, and what Roman has planned is anyone's guess, but it will need to be good. Being good at oil and good at running a football club dont necessarily go hand in hand

no reliable source yet, but websites like goal.com and all that garbage have already posted the article saying:

Chelsea have signed Barcelona youngster Gael Etock on a four-year deal, according to AS. The 17-year-old will reportedly leave La Masia – where the Catalan club’s youngsters train – after five years despite Catalan chiefs being convinced he was a star of the future.
On July 5, the date he turns 18, the new Stamford Bridge signing will be loaned immediately to Sporting Lisbon, and will play for a year on loan in the Portuguese top flight before making the move to England.
Thorough tracking by the London club’s scouts is believed to have made the transfer possible, and compensation is expected to be paid for the striker, with some going to the Champions League holders and the rest to the Eto’o Foundation.
Etock was brought to the club when he was 12 as part of the foundation, which opened the doors to Europe for him and a number of other compatriots.
The Cameroonian forward will be the fourth Barcelona youth team player to leave the academy in as many weeks.
Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin are reportedly moving to Arsenal to develop, and midfielder Pepe Palau will return to Valencia, where he was prior to being picked up by the La Liga champions.

i know but the probability is that he has others advising him and the plan is good and he is confident in it otherwise he wont have been splashing cash around like he has been doing in the past 6 months... I agree that the idea of a future plan does little to dispel rumours, time will tell and I am pretty confident that we will comply with the FFP one way or the other

might be some truth in this although i cant fathom why we are sending him to Lisbon, surely AVB would have sent him to Porto... personally I would have preferred a side in England tbh so he can adapt to the game as fast as possible not a side all the way in Portugal where the football is very different

Looks slighty garbage to me but might be true

Again from my "sources" Ron Gourlay is on his way to Italy to either tie up a deal for Sanchez or Pastore or appoint Gianfranco Zola as our director of Football.

Your sauce excites me

I personly think its the Zola one mate

Haha well he is normally spot on, he is friends with someone who is close to the Gourlay family.

man, i wish i had ur sources. :D

btw, i will be happy either way. so if Zola joins as DoF, GREAT :)

maybe be i will be less happy if we get Pastore, i mean, Modric is way better choice. or Sneijder ...... anyway, we will see. Hope ur right though ;p

I still think we will sign Modric, he is due back from holiday soon and will apparently go to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and ask him to let him go.

Well he had to splash the cash in January. You desperately needed a boost and investment since you had (and still have) an ageing squad and a huge gap between the current first team, and the young players who were expected to come in as back-up with next to no experience. Players like Bruma, McEachran, etc. had barely played. Project Youth failed for the first half a season and you were in danger of falling out of the Top 4. Abramovich had to spend, and clubs knew you a) had money and b) you were panic-buying... so prices went up and clubs like Liverpool realised they could 'charge' whatever they **** they wanted really.

Spending like that won't continue at Chelsea if Abramovich's infamous 'Plan' has any sense behind it.

Think Pastore or Sneijder is more what you need tbh - backup for Lampard, not for a deeper CM position.

Modric is ours.! I hope :P

Well all signs point too us at the moment as he said he wants to stay in London. But as we know players tend to change their minds very quickly.

Possibly, but for me Lampard is a very direct slow the play down type of player and Boas wants fast passing creating attacks from nothing and Modric could do that.

So does McEachran.

So does McEachran.

He does and their are solutions. If we do sign Modric then i fully expect McEachran to go out on loan for a season. Because when he is properly ready i dont see a problem with having 2 creative players in midfield, just aslong as you have a destroyer behind them its coolio.

Sneijder, sir. Gimme Wesley;>

most def WESLEY is what we need.

indeed. like iniesta and xavi. dont count messi, cuz he is a forward, not a playmaker ;>

and maybe Josh and Modric/Sneijder + Ramires between them.. it will work :)
