No, you don't. Don't kid yourself. If Roman or Mastour leave, you'll get back where you where when they bought you. Unless there's somebody else who's willing to splash the cash pretty much every season.

I could spend all day coming up with situations saying if this happened if that happened, it doesn't really accomplish anything.

Did anyone watch the Mata press conference? Journo's kept throwing questions asking Mata if joining United is a massive step up and a bigger club than Chelsea.

Quite cringe worthy how they try to put words into his mouth. But Mata being the guy he is, dodged the questions completely.

Expect nothing less from Mata tbh his such a class act! Even has only had positive things to say about Mourinho from what I've seen too and I don't think any Chelsea fan would even blame him if he had atleast one dig at Jose!

Writing stuff on forum doesn't accomplish anything, and you still do it. In the end, everything you do is so insignificant that you probably don't even need to live because you wont accomplish anything.

This is getting a little old ... Everything that Roman has done for the past 4-5 seasons indicates that he is here for the long-term. The only way he will sell is if he gets an absurd offer, which will have to be from someone with equally deep pockets, or he gets himself into deep financial trouble

Same could be said of Mansour
I honestly hope that true, but you never know. But if you only depend on one man, well then you're not stable, especially in modern football.

Well that's not very nice

But it's true. And should that stop you from living? No. So why would I stop from commenting something that can happen easily? Your post made zero logic, I'm sorry.

I'm not telling you to stop commenting on things that can happen. I'm saying it's pointless to discuss the ifs and buts when in relation to Alcaraz's post, he was commenting on the present, not things that can happen in the future.

I can easily say aswell, if United get relegated this season, they will struggle to keep their best players. But why would I say that? United look in no position to get relegated at present, so it's pointless. Just like saying if Roman leaves blah blah, but there is no signs that he is even likely to.

If many of life's daily events have zero inherent significance, then surely we should choose to spend our time on the ones that excite or interest us? Once something becomes speculative, like Roman leaving, the only real point of any of us discussing it is if we get something out of it. Personally, I feel there are far more interesting things to discuss and maybe JDY does too.

Take a look how stock market works. Easiest to explain is on Man United example. When rumor started that Fergie is stepping down, our stock prices went down. Speculation is very powerful and it has huge impact on present, no matter is it true or not. Past and possible future impact present.

You can say that, and it's true. However, Roman is the thing that keeps Chelsea stable. Take that away and whole thing collapses. United has much stronger roots and if you cut one off, we can still be stable. Chelsea can't. That the whole point. Chelsea is on good way to become 'Roman free' with their success, but they are still not as stable as some other clubs.

You're free man, you can do what you want. Well that's a lie but I don't want to discuss it any further. As you said, there's far more interesting things to talk about.

And sings of that happening are zero! Absolute mute point

I don't think we've to worry about this TBH, our club is working towards becoming a self sustaining club ATM. No shady sponsorships, the money being used is from revenues. Other clubs obviously don't like this fact. There's something to be said about how our club thinks about a new stadium.

You are comparing two vastly different things and taking away from JDY's point. All JDY said is that their is no point in discussing whether Roman will leave because he the chances of that happening are extremely extremely low. Going by your line of reasoning, Barcelona are a poor team because they are so heavily dependent on Messi and IF he leaves then they crash and burn. Or United of last season were a poor team because they depended so much on RVP to bail them out and IF he left, they would crash and burn. Similar thing with Roman and Chelsea. If he left, we would be worse off. But it's pointless to speculate on something that will probably never happen

And regarding your stock market example, even the stock market doesn't fall or rise based on totally wayward rumours. 'Fergie retiring' was a rumour that at least had a good possibility of happening

So apparently we told Bayern to name their price for Toni Kroos ... Another AM would be great since we only have around 500 atm but I am ignoring myself because Toni Kroos. Although I did hear he plays a lot as a CM. Can anyone confirm this?

He would be awesome in a midfield 3 with Ramires and Matic, not sure in a 4-2-3-1 due to his lack of mobility (as one of the 2). Why is there speculation surrounding him though? Wants to leave?

Has 18 months remaining on his contract, and he's holding out signing a new deal, due to wanting significantly increased wages. We(United) are definitely interested in him, I'm guessing.

Good articles explaining tactical point of view, the latter one seems translated from French by Google translator, though.

3:25 onwards of this shows very simply why Juan has gone to. Even against Stoke just gone you've seen the difference from then and the start of the season. For about 20 minutes in the first half, Stoke were bamboozled with our intense pressing.

Contract winding down and he hasn't been playing as much as he wants to I think ... Not surprising considering the amazing team Bayern have. Agreed that he would be brilliant in a 4-3-3. Could potentially work in a pivot as well as a DLP alongside Matic. It's quite probable that Kroos is one of the players Jose has his eye on in the summer. With Lampard leaving, there would be space for him as well. Doubt it will happen though ...

He wants a bigger wages than what Bayern have so far offered and thats why he hasnt renewed. I think could happen in summer for either you or Utd as both could use him.

Think Bayern will come to a compromise with him. He is too good to let go. That said Chelsea and United can definitely offer him big wages as his transfer fee won't be too high at all as he will be in the last year of his contract. Still feel it's unlikely but something to keep an eye on for the summer I suppose ...
