I find it quite funny that no one wants your players because they're all old and decrepit. We're linked with plenty of players, and there's not a chance that all of Van Persie, Fabregas and Nasri will leave.

And who are Chelsea linked with? De Bruyne and Lukaku... But it's Wenger who needs to stop signing young players :/ Oh yes, and Modric - but Spurs told you to **** off, and you've since been linked to several players you're not going to sign.

not sure bout that.

Which of our players which we are looking to sell mind you are old and decreipt?

Anelka is old but he can easily play in the top flight for another few years

Kalou is a good player and he is relatively young

Any PLM will want Drogba and Malouda

And I rather we are linked with several players rather than being in the news constantly cos players want to leave us... I admit the Nasri link is quite exciting but I think we are going for Pastore or Sneijder or Modric ;)

I was just having a look at Arsenal transfer rumours and I found it quite amusing that Arsenal have more players looking set to leave this summer than arriving:

Ces Fabregas- Barcelona

Samir Nasri- Manchester United/Chelsea/Manchester City

Denilson

Bedenter

Gael Clichy- Manchester City

Rob Van Persie- according to newspaper reports, he is weighing up his own future at the club

While the only player I have seen Arsenal linked heavily with is Gervinho

So much for Wengers 10 year Youth plan

werent you complaining about people starting arguments?

First of all: LOL - GC isn't an Arsenal fan...

Secondly; just lol. Nasri's "frustration" comes from wanting lots of cash, Cesc's from wanting to return to his boyhood club, Bendtner and Denilson from not playing (so that's two players that haven't turned out as good as expected out of how many?) and RvP's is just funny. Coming from The Daily Star, and recycled by a load of journalists on a slow news day

nope. ..from wanting to win trophies:)

BTW, Alcaraz, why did you even start this, Mike is right. plus this is Chelsea thread not arsenal's.

For the record, you hesistated at Sneijders demands, have not entered any talks over Pastore, and face possible defeat over Modric

1. As i mentioned earlier, all this may not even be true but its kind of obvious that Fabregas is also frustrated by your lack of recent success, I know you love spinning on and on about your self-sustainable model but ultimately players have their own career's to worry about and although they probably do respect ur financial strategy they dream of winning trophies and being successful and I doubt they think that just because Arsenal will defo qualify for the FFP they want to be in the club, I mean there are several other clubs who will qualify for the FFP too and they still win trophies year in and out such as Man Utd

If he wanted to win trophies, he could go to any top club in the world. Barca are his boyhood team, and he would love to play for them.

that too. but if he had won some trophies he would have never wanted to leave that soon :)

so did you guys, 12m net salary is way too much anyways, both Man Utd and Chelsea face possible defat for Modric, looks like he is set to stay at Spurs for another season although rumours are afresh that once he comes back from his holida he will personally talk to Daniel Levy over a possible transfer and he says he wants to stay in London making us and Arsenal ;) favourites

And Palermo President has openly said that Pastore looks set to leave this summer

The point of my post was anyways that i rather we be linked to many players rather than be in the news cos players want to leave us

yeah and the fact that he has the best chance of winning trophies there.. lets get real he is not going to Barca just because they are his boyhood club and the top side in the world currently, I am pretty sure if Barca were not as good then he would have been linked to some other club..

Hilarious. :/

Wrong on Fabregas, if you're going to take a pop at least be right, the only reason he's even contemplating is because its Barcelona.

Enough on that anyway. Just because its a chelsea thread, doesnt mean you wind up other fans...

ok sorry .. lets end this topic now :)

btw anyone watching Colombia v Costa Rica?

Guarin plays better than Falcao at this point, excellent passes. Assist for the first goal :)

Guarin's release clause is 9m only!

Cant understand why no top clubs have been linked with this excellent player

i know right!

and has played an exceptional role in winning the treble last season..

Would love to see Guarin/Fucile arrive as utility for next season maybe with De Bruyne/Courtois/Lukaku with Lodeiro coming in from Ajax...I can dream lol. Bit harsh on Arsenal as well, think by the end of August they will have signed a couple of key players. People shouldn't panic the windows only 2 days old... oO)

Arnesen is ****. dont wanna hear about him anymore.

How is Arnesen ****?? He has set up Chelsea's youth acadamy to be one of the best in Europe. The players we sold to Hamburg we were not forced to sell them were we, and possibly the players we sold arnt good enough to play for our first team.

Agree with CJack to an extent, Sala, Mancienne and Tore never really cut it. Building an entire youth policy/culture from scratch is a difficult job and there was definitely failures but a legacy of Tejera, Cork, Borini, Kalas, Lalkovic, Matic, Bertrand, Mceachran, Bruma, Van Arnholt, Sinclair, Kakuta etc is a pretty good legacy to leave in the club's history.

But then again I can definitely see BlueHeart's point this is also the guy that sold half of them and pushed the Shevchenko deal (+A few other's like Kalou/Mikel), so there is definitely a split opinion on him personally, would prefer AVB/Chief scout given his duties and maybe designate a team of 2 scouts to undertake the specific job of youth scouting and report to the CS who can then make recommendation's to AVB. Doubt Roman's reading but DOF isn't really needed with Gourlay/Di Matteo/AVB/Daniel Sousa.
