Torres has won us big games, won the corner which led to Drogba's goal in Munich and scored in the Europa League final too. No way worth 50 million but he has contributed more than you believe he has.
We are signing him for a number of reasons! 1) He naturally plays in the 2 in a 4-2-3-1. 2) Jose's assistant Rui Faria is mulling over the decision to go it alone and be a manager and Jose likes Tiago to fill that void. 3) He is good mates with Costa and could help the Atletico lads settle and 4) HES ******* FREE!!!!!! You do like to make a argument about EVERYTHING Chelsea do, its quite embarrassing really.
All clubs make poor purchases, lets not go through Utd's shall we!

I weren't arguing about anything, I just like to laugh at Torres as a striker, then fans get all touchy. Only time I've had any kind of debate in here before is with Lukaku

Ignoring the fact that the article claims Mourinho has already managed Falcao at Real Madrid which might tempt him to make a move to Chelsea, clearly confusing the actual Madrid club Falcao was previously at and a team Mourinho has never managed (Atletico) with Real (a club Mourinho has managed and that has never featured Falcao), it appears talks for him to make the move to the Bernabeu have broken down.

I want to remember Drogba as he was when he played for us untill 2012, but if Drogba coming would mean Torres leaving ( still praying), i would take a wheelbarrow and personally take him to London.

Lukaku has ALWAYS had a tongue on him! He believes he has made it already when quite frankly he hasn't! Yes he has had two excellent loan deals but that doesn't mean he should be guaranteed a starting slot at Chelsea! Tiago will hardly ****** play and as i pointed out there is more to the Tiago deal you fool!
Torres is not leaving lol, if Drogba comes back it will be as 3rd choice behind Torres and Costa.

The thing which is quite depressing is that whenever people laugh about Torres and think they are getting one over on us they are not. Like myself most Chelsea fans have just accepted him for what he is and that's an average striker.
The only good thing i can say about Torres is that he has very good technique, I often wondered how he would fare in the '10 role.
He has assisted a lot for us and one of the problems with him is that he tends to operate a lot deeper.
Lol, there's someone seriously criticising the Tiago deal? **** me, a cheap veteran signing - and Jose's known to be at his most effective with vets - of someone who had a very useful year and has no false notions about his signing is a bad thing?
Criticising it when you consider Romeu and Van Ginkel and others are all there already, they deserve a good look in.
I honestly don't buy this whole experience thing, there is plenty of experience already within that squad.

If you want him as coach, make him a coach. Don't interrupt with other peoples progress by bringing in him as a player now, all I'm saying, calm down folks.

I do, unless something exceptional comes up. This is how Jose likes to work: get all the important deals done and dusted and then wait and see if something comes up that's so good it's impossible to pass it up.
