Just finished watching the game now as i was at work earlier and although you cannot take much from the results in friendlies you can take positives. For me Zouma looks the part, love how ruthless he is and his vision for passing it always seems to find someone in space. Van Ginkel impressed me, always wanted and had the ball and Salah looked very lively and tracked back too! Good to see Bamford score his goal too and just what we need, a striker who does nothing but takes that chance when it comes to him. Brown's finishing obviously a highlight but for me the best player was Boga, the boy can deliver an excellent dead ball and 2 assists on his first 1st team outing, well played lad.

Must say although i couldn't watch the game live as soon as the kicked off on my recording i got that feeling back, MY CHELSEA ARE BACK!!!!!

Oriol Romeu has put pen to paper on a new three year deal. He looked a decent player his first season for us tbh and it was a shame his second season he suffered that injury which kept him out all year.

I'm happy with this i do rate Romeu but does seem to mean Mikel will be offskies.

Romeu is in a slightly ****** situation here because of his injury. He's kind of missed his chance to get serious game time and work his way into the first team, through no fault of his own. Now though, he has to fight MvG and Matic for a place which is going to be an incredibly tall order. Feel sorry for the guy.

Not in a million years , not because Hernandez isn't a good player but because Matic is one of the best ball wining midfielders in the world

Okokokok, enjoy Torres and Diego Costa's injuries.

Something you never had the experience of is not as painful as actually having experience of Torres as a striker.

I won't be sad to see him go but he's been a useful squad player if you ignore his price tag (which we can because we got loadsa money) Plus, without him I never would have been able to hear Gary Neville have a guilt ridden ****** live on national television.

As **** as he is and has been, this will always make it better. I won't be sad to see him go but he's been a useful squad player if you ignore his price tag (which we can because we got loadsa money)

Hold on... no one can ignore 50m for Torres... it's one of the biggest transfer flops.

Even 27m for Fellaini looks reasonable after that one! The only one that might put Torres one into a bit of pride is Andy Carroll for 35m.

Why not? It was a total waste of money but it was Roman's money, rather than the club's. If we spunked 50m on him now, when FFP is a big issue, then it would have been hard to look past but we did it when they were being so absurdly lenient that the FFP rules may as well not have existed.

As bad as Fernando was these last few years, he certainly paid for his transfer and wages with goals he scored in Europe. Just the CL/Europa League rewards probably amount to over 100m euro. Free marketing that comes from european success is probably worth just as much. And then Fernando himself has a global fanbase and I'm imagine he's moving shitload of kits.

Still a flop obviously, but financially i'd say Chelsea still came out on top.

Then there's Shevchenko... that's a whole different story lol.

Awkward moment it's Filipe Luis, I honestly thought it was Tiago at first HAHAHAHA. You're meant to be signing him as well, for some odd reason.
