Every time we play this 3-5-2 formation, I feel like watching paint dry instead. It simply doesn't suit us.

Our record against arsenal under Conte is just shocking!! Most frustrating thing is they have been there for the taking a few of those matches! We used to dominate arsenal and they would be scared to play us but I’d imagine they look forward to it a bit more now days.

Chelsea stadium: Family between Blues & new £1bn Stamford Bridge - BBC Sport

Little has ever stood between Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and realising his ambitions for the club.

But plans for a £1bn new stadium are being held up by one family over their right to light - and the lack of it shining into their home when the new Stamford Bridge is built.

The Crosthwaites have lived in their west London cottage for 50 years and it is so close to the Premier League club's ground that you could almost kick a football from their doorstep onto the pitch.

The family - made up of parents Lucinda and Nicolas, plus children Louis and Rose - took out an injunction in May over their belief the towering new 60,000-capacity stadium will cast a permanent shadow over parts of their home.

The new stadium was granted planning permission one year ago and has been signed off by the Mayor of London, but Chelsea have called on the local council to intervene and take advantage of planning laws to stop the injunction effectively ending the planned development.

Hammersmith and Fulham councillors are meeting on Monday to decide what happens next.

Imagine Roman trying to explain to some fellow oligarchs that he couldn't build his massive new stadium as it violated the right to light of a family nearby

Sportclubs often have trouble with families who live next to the club. Either due to sound or lights in the evening spotted on the field which reflects. In the Netherlands there's a blue (fibre)grass field where they play on (field hockey). Because it's blue the light extra reflects into homes of the people nearby.

Easier for everyone when the club isn't built in a city, but just outside.

Far be it from me to give props to Chelsea but that would have been an absolute travesty if Norwich had won the tie.

Absolutely shambolic officiating. If Scott's the future then officiating is well and truly F-ed. Same ******* that disallowed what should have been Solanke's first top-flight English goal West Brom his first PL game before Chrimbo. And he's patently not improved any. And as if he wasn't a big enough disgrace, the clowns watching the VAR couldn't even get bang obvious decisions in real time, let alone on replay, right.

Shambolic disgrace.

And over in Germany, even the players are against the VAR experiment now!

Morata surely has to own a record for quickest two bookings in the FA Cup if not English football all together

Actually Di Maria vs Arsenal in the cup must run him close not sure which was faster

This so incredibly weird. Why can't they just recall one of their 3 million loanies or something.

Real good game this. Super start from Chelsea with a couple of belter goals. Particularly the second. Great response from Brighton. Stonewall penalty denied by the ever incompetent Moss. Worldie save from the Chelsea back-up 'keeper. Real good entertainment.

Have to think there's more goals both ends still in this. As always, the next one looks to be the crucial one.

First marker of the weekend down. Enjoyed that. (Not the result haha.).

Tough on Brighton who just couldn't catch a break. Thought they could well have levelled that up at 2-2. But ruthlessly clinical Chelsea without Fabregas, Morrata or Pedro.

Congratulations. Over to Utd and the anticipated snoozefest at Burnley.

With the Barcelona game around the corner, it was time we got some good results, and start scoring. Hope we continue this way, and glad Conte switched formation to what we are better at.

Hazard at the end spotting the kid in the stands with the sign... d'awww :D
