Elia...

One to watch for Chelsea/Other English clubs.

His agent has said he has offers (s) from England and will sort out his future by the close of the window.

Maybe the target was for 2 wingers after all, I would welcome him. Think his pace/skill is an immediate threat and his skills can be homed.

Would prefer a CM though, think 2 signings at least are coming in. Pereira (Or a LW/LB) plus a CM at the very least. Elia story is more of a 'watch this space' than a definite that Chelsea are in.

If Hamburger go down (which is very much likely) they will probably sell Elia for much less.

i'm all for building the squad and things, but would roman accept that?

Reus would be a better signing...

I'm surprised AVB hasn't moved for any players from Brazil like Lucas, maybe at Chelsea he's adapted to a central Europe/Eastern Europe based transfer policy for young talents.

They've had a bad start, but they've still got the quality to be mid-table. And I did expect them to have a bad start tbh because they've lost experienced players and brought in young players who are lacking experience.

It's a shame that Yossi hasn't got much of a chance, he could have been a good bench player/occasional starter, but he is 31 and it seems he wants out, so it does make sense that he leaves.

he was a massive key to unlocking Torres. shame. anyway, we better buy someone cuz the window is almost gone. gourlay, move you fat *** and buy JM or the drama queen Modric. your choice .

According to a few sources pereira is close to joining Chelsea and I have also seen rumours that that Benayoun could be involved in a deal to sign Meireles or Hazard.

Modric to sign on deadline day I reckon.

Jamieee, any news on Moutinho?

How was a 3-1 win lucky??? Was the penalty we won lucky?? Over the 101 minues Chelsea deserved to win the game simple as that. You can say if Norwich took their chances but they didnt, they had them and didnt take them and we took ours.

I'm just saying that it was a very even game up until the late red card when you were able to dominate. The result could have gone either way and it is a game that you should be winning comfortably imo. Obviously they have made a decent start to their season and you have players missing/still bedding into the squad, but there was clearly an element of luck in the victory because I believe that Norwich should have taken something from the game.

It's an ominous sign for everyone else that Chelsea can play relativelypoorly and still win games though. Once the recent transfers have settled, and the players have formed an understanding of the way AVB wants to play, I think Chelsea will be a real force. It was quite naive to play such a high defensive line with Terry and Ivanovic at the back but when Luiz returns it will be easier to implement. I wasn't trying to get peoples backs up or anything, I know you will always defend your team but I was just trying to give you an outsider perspective.
