I have been hearing rumours on and off about Kevin De Bruyne too, suprised he has not been discussed at all in this thread, what are all your opinions on him?

De Bruyne is, apparently, part of the Lukaku deal - Chelsea would buy De Bruyne and loan him to Anderlecht in addition to some cash in exchange for Lukaku.

Exactly right. Im not sure about his tallent though. Havent seen him playing:)

Here is a video :) looks impressive.

Would be a better deal if we kept Drogba for one more year to mentor him.
Indeed. But who knows, I hope he would be given an extension to his contract and finish his career at the Bridge :) The club owes him at least that :)

Chelsea have 'major' Pastore offer rejected

Now that is interesting.

from what im hearing this could be our new away kit. What do we all think?? Im not crazy about it but we have had worse.

Off topic but my English Football quiz is back up and running so if you want to take part round 1 can be found here: http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/forum-games/60178-jackos-just-fun-english-football-quiz.html

Not sure if it's the same offer, but we had a bid rejected in October.

Wow wasn't expecting us to go for Lukaku and Pastore, not to sure if i want another 40+mill signing..

44m for Pastore, who would think of throwing such cash around for him, we can easily buy Neymar, Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne with that kind of cash or El Kun.... no thx Pastore we dont want u

Anyways I have compiled a list of players being linked with Chelsea over the past few weeks:

Deals that Look Likely to Happen

Neymar

Already pleading with the club to sign him so this better happen one way or the other

Lukaku

Has publicly stated that he would love to play in the same club as Drogba as is the natural heir to Drogba in Chelsea, another deal that should hopefully take place come Monday

Gregory Van Der Wiel

Our former sporting director Frank Arnesen admitted that Chelsea have a profound interest in this dynamic young right-back, I presume we will follow up on our interest as we are currently short of quality in that area

Asim Begovic

We had an offer for him rejected in January I think, he said he would want to move to Chelsea meaning that he has no concerns on playing second fiddle to Cech, should ascend to the First-Team when Cech retires

Kevin De Bruyne

I think this fella will be our first transfer of the window, recent reports state that we are already in advanced negotiations with Genk and he would be our bargaining chip in the Lukaku Deal, I think this is very likely

Deals that Probably wont happen

Kaka

There was a lot of speculation earlier about him moving to Chelsea but now I doubt it as he publicly stated he wants to remain at Real Madrid and I dount RM will let him go cheaply, still would love him to come to the Bridge, still he is one of the most talented players in the game

Sergio Aguero

Manchester City are favourites to sign him, we probably wont sign him if we manage to get Neymar and Lukaku and the price tag he carries is quite hefty too, again another quality player I would take any day

Javier Pastore

We already had a bid rejected for him if recent reports are to be believed and I doubt we wil cough up 40m for him, unless Palermo reduce their price I doubt we will follow up on our initial bid, 40m for him is anyways a crazy price but I am sure Palermo will reduce this eventually as there financial position is quite bad so they will have to sell him this summer to a club, one way or the other

Bidding War between Chelsea and Man City for Pastore? Maybe...

Genk (De Bruyne's club) are our feeder club, so I imagine if we're interested in him, we'll get first option :)
RE Lukaku; I wouldn't count your chickens yet, Jovanovic was amazing in the Belgian league too...

I suppose u would have first option but I think the player always has a final say on where he wants to go right? Regardless of whether his club is a feeder club to Liverpoool?

Depends really, I guess the club could only accept one bid, if they want to keep loyal with us, but as it is, doubt we're in for him.

would not be suprised if you guys are though, he looks quality and why in the world would Daglish want to pass up this opportunity especially if Genk are Liverpool's feeder club

I certainly dont know what is taking us so long.. I mean obviously Roman wants the manager to be appointed before making any transfers, which is kinda right imo, but is there any manager who would rather not have Neymar and Lukaku in his squad?
Lukaku already said he wanted the transfer finished in a week because of his exams and stuff..

Neymar's chief representative Wagner Ribeiro has rubbished claims that Chelsea have lodged a fresh offer for the Santos starlet.

...

In my opinion Neymar wont happen, too much technical stuff.

Chelsea will sign:ro

A keeper (not begovic)
Srna
2 belgians (lukaku and the genk guy)
Aguero

Not really how it works. But if they accept a bid from us then they will offer him to Liverpool too, but then it's up to the player.

And why wouldn't they be able to accept more than one bid?

I meant, they could reject the Chelsea bid, then Liverpool could bid the same amount and accept that one or something along those lines.

No real need for another goalkeeper. We have Matej Delac who will be the eventual successor to Cech.
