Zhirkov is pretty good but there is much better out there imo and I am not bothered if Zhirkov moves on or not this summer. I do like him but it is most likely he wont get many chances at Chelsea and it is proberly best for him to move on and find a club where he will get alot more game time.

I doubt that Neymar is worth 41 million though.. Maybe 30 not more. Well, I guess he aint coming then..

meh, its just his agent talking nonsense again, which club in their right mind will pay 41m for Neymar and lets face it, only we and Man City can afford to splash that kind of dough so dont read too much into this tosh articles mate

Malouda was good last season, but what about the past 6-7 months? He's been his old inconsistent, greedy self.

Name me the tough opponents he struggled against? And by 'tough opponents' do you mean top teams or physical sides? e.g. Stoke and Blackburn. Against the B'burn he had one of his best appearances for Chelsea and chipped in with a vital assist. Or top teams like Man Utd where he had one of his better appearances.

Oh, and what about Euro 2008 where he was one of the players of the tournament?

That is actually a reason why I am disappointed he hasnt been given alot of chances but still I wont mind if he finds a new club.

exactly, he is a good player imo but he is not getting any younger and he is no more than a squad player at best, I think we need to offload him if we want to make space for players such as Sneijder and Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne won't play next season! He's most likely going to be loaned out.

He is a squad player, but my point is that he shouldn't be. He should be a starter, but if all we're going to use him as is a squad player I'm happy to see him leave as long as he is going to a team who will play him and prove to people (mostly Chelsea fans) what a player he is.

not many people including Chelsea fans doubt his ability but imo if you play at a top club likes ours and know that your going to get limited chances at best, your job is to make the most of them and he has'nt, i dont see why he should be a stater considering that he has played poorly most of the time he has gotten a chance and when we talk about rejuvenating our squad and giving youngsters a chance why should we play Zhirkov, if you say someone like Josh or Sturridge deserve a chance then i fully agree with you cos they are young and they perform well when given a chance, just look at Sturridge's record for us...

4 goals in 21 appearances last season and most of his apps were from the bench, Zhirkov is a good player imo but i totally disgaree that he deserves to be a starter as he has not proved that to anyone of us in his apps so far, players like Sturridge and Josh in our first 11 will be a much better and viable option

He has played well when he's played though. Anyway I'm not even going to carry on this discussion because it's just pointless, Guus can decide.

Zhirkov was good this season against Spartak Moscow (in which he scored), Wolves, Blackburn and Spartak again. 4 games in a row he was brilliant in and then he was one of our worst players in the 2-0 defeat at Liverpool (yes he wasent the only poor player but for a man suposidly on form he was shocking). He then got injured (suprise suprise) and missed most of the season. Like i say too inconsistant and picks up too many knocks.

Even when he played he wasnt that good, think me and you debated this before, wasnt too good at the left central mid role

We did indeed, i also think it didnt help that Hiddink got him to Chelsea and then it wasent Hiddink who was the manager so effectivly Zhirkov wasent Ancelotti's signing.

exactly my point, a handful of games he is good in but then his form is too erratic and he is quite injury-pone, honestly if Zhirkov is being considered for a starting berth next season then I will be incredibly ****** if Dani is frozen out of the team again

I have had enough with Malouda too. But Malouda has shown what he can do especially under Hiddink so thats whats swaying me to give him another year if Hiddink is appointed. Malouda has been poor the last 7 odd months but many Chelsea players have been, if they wearnt poor then Utd wouldnt have won the league.

Exacly that, Zhirkov's contract runs out next year so i say cash in on him now. Saying that if we do appoint Hiddink then he may end up staying because Guus likes Zhirkov and was the one who bought him to Chelsea in the first place.

I dont mind keeping Zhirkov tho if Hiddink wants him considering if their is a manager who knows how to get the best out of Zhirkov, its Guus :)

Note to Chelsea fans.

You need to get Hiddink in, Before you talk about who he wants and doesnt want.

Just saying.

yeah after reading thru the posts on here (including mine), one would think Guus was already our manager ;)

He's on holiday, on his way back now or soon though, I believe. Expect him to be appointed in the next week and a half on a 2 year deal.
