Who the **** are we going to buy to replace Drogba?

Why do we need to replace Drogba? He scored only 5 league goals last season and yes he is the main man for the big games but the big games are few and far between. Torres is not 100% Chelsea's number one striker, if this doesn't take pressure off him then absolutely nothing will. I also back Lukaku to play more games next season and we look to be signing wingers so maybe Sturridge will be moved inside too.

You bid £35m for Modric to be fair. But £40m for Moura is an insane offer.

I think Lucas is a player we could very well do with, will play down the right has bags of pace and a trick about him. The price is insane but Brazilian teams don't have to sell their main stars anymore as the money is great out there. I think we need Modric and play him along side Mikel in the midfield 2.

Pretty sure you could do better than £40m for Moura.

Glad i'm not im Roman's place. Buy extra striker in case Torres wont unblock, or don't buy extra striker and hope Torres does unblock. Either way its a gamble.

Mostly talk according to me, the Sao Paolo president did say we are the club 'closest' to Lucas Moura but I do not think he said we ever had a bid rejected for him

Gourlay claimed near the bottom of this article that you will have two big name strikers next season scoring 25-30 goals. So that is why we started mentioning who it could be, but for me Falcao is the best man to replace Drogba (as they plan to do).

Mate Lucas Moura is a good player but the price is too high. I would rather go for someone like Hulk or Hazard for that price.

Also agree with you on Modric. Lots of interesting options with him. If we get him we can pair him with Romeu, good at retaining the ball and passing it on quickly. A destroyer in Essien. Or even Mikel who is another person who can retain the ball and move it on.

The club so far has made all the right decisions according to me. Letting the likes of Drogba, Kalou and Bosingwa leave. Strong sign that whatever happens, the squad will be given a refurbishment this summer

Well Gourlay cannot rule anything out because its not his job to decide transfer targets. Its the job of our new manager and Michael Emeleano. Hence why he contradicts himself on the Torres saga. But all indications point to Torres being the main striker next season with Lukaku providing cover for him and Sturridge, possibly Hulk, coming in in the event that both fail to shine

I agree it's too high but so is Hulks price and I am not even sure we need Hulk. I personally think Essien should be sold too, i love the man but no way are we going to see anywhere near the old Bison again.

Sort of sad to see Bosingwa and Kalou go, I know they don't set the world a light but both gave 100% when they played. Not bad leaving with a CL medal though.

My Alkie/druggie of a next door neighbour "can you keep it down when Chelsea are playing". Me "FUCKOFF!!!" then slams the door in his boat race!!!

Tell him to sort out his alchohol and drug addictions before moaning about someone having a Chelsea addiction. Silly ****.

I rate Malouda more than I do Kalou, Malouda just seems to of not got any form at all at Chelsea, but he is a great player, hence why he is consistently in the France National team. Maybe it is the formation that does not suit him, although lately he would have to be more of a Left Back under Di Matteo.

Will allways love Malouda for the 09/10 season where he was consistant all season and our second best player behind Drogba that season imo. He scored and set up alot of goals that season and contributed to us winning the double alot. Think some fans are harsh on him now ofcourse he wont perform aswell as he was back then due to younger players now at the club like Mata who play in the same positions as him. He is still a good rotational player to have imo.

Same as you, i loved Malouda for that season but i think the fact he done well that season annoys fans that he couldnt withstand that form. I think it's time younger players were the rotation option at Chelsea now.

If a club comes in for Malouda offering a few mil I think Chelsea should take it but dont mind seeing Flo continue at the club.

I think this is a good start, this needed to start happening last season but AVB didn't get rid of anyone. You cannot get rid of all the players in one window but a few at a time. Now that is 3 going which is a great start so maybe one more this window taking the tally up to 4 and then see where we are in January whether another one is not needed and then sell him and repeat the process next summer. The likes of JT, Lamps and Cole will stay until they retire being our experienced players who play in certain games and make up the numbers alla Giggs and Scholes role.

The point was that none of this could have happened last season under AVB, with the turnover already in place, it could possibly have happen if the club had kept Carlo, we've been over this point so many times. You cant keep battering him for something he was not in a position to control. I in fact pointed out it needed to be be 3 or so at a time, hence why it couldnt have happen last summer or in january with many deals already in place by roman. It would have happened this summer, whether you had kept AVB or not.

And i have said AVB had his own transfer targets and bought them in, he was bought in way before the season started so do you really believe he had no say in the players he wanted to keep? He even stated that he wanted to keep everyone and give them all a chance.

Torres happy at Chelsea | Sky Sports

The media......lying again......well i never!!!! I am shocked that it was Gullium Balague who broke this story though as i thought he was pretty close to Torres. Then again one of the sides he supports is Liverpool so you never know.

He didnt lie, he was just concerned. And Chelsea have recently allayed those concerns. Read the orginal Balague piece, it then got spun. The point was that Torres wanted to know how Chelsea viewed him, they have told him he is the main striker. He's happy.

No I am talking about player turnover, if 3 or 4 come, how can you then do another 3 or 4, and make it gradual? Answer: you cant, hence why it didnt happen last year.

But he bought in players so he could have sold players that's the whole point. The only first team player he got rid of in the summer was Zhirkov but he bought in Romeu, Mata, Lukaku and Meireles. Him selling someone like Malouda, Bosingwa or Kalou would not have effected us as much this season.
