Look at them ffs. If you tell me that the current lineup doesnt need a Mata, a complete mastermind, a, then I might be crazy. They are completely clueless. They have been hoofing it, they have been attempting long shots, they have done NADA.

Mata is capable of giving a killer ball out of nothing, a pass that can tear defences apart, he is that good. The way Drogba have scored so many times out of nothing.

He just plays/thinks out-of-the-box. That's all. Come on, deny it. I dare you.

And yes, you are right that we need a world class finisher, but thats no news. I'm tired of even mentioning it.

Considering Oscar just scored, am I still not allowed to deny it? ;)

The terrible thing is, people will genuinely say: "well Oscar scored so it was right", completely ignoring the fact he couldn't miss from there.

True, but to be fair to him, he did have to get into the correct position in the first place.

Also, I'm pretty sure Torres could've given it a good go.

I hope this is sarcastic.

Very much so. :P

Jose Mourinhos second spell can now be considered a success he has got a premier league goal out of ****** Mikel! Haha so happy for him he looked chuffed to bits.

Oscar best player of the match so far for me. Been all over the pitch working his socks off

He is indeed, and you're right, but it speaks volumes that shoving square peg Falcao into round hole intelligent all round forward would probably still yield much better results than currently.

Haha yes although spending ?50 million on a square peg would be stupid at the end of the day. Should have gone for someone like Higuan. Our confidence in securing the Rooney transfer cost us big-time

Could have told you that from that star.... wait, we did.

Sod that, play Mikel up front!

Heh ... Situation not as desperate as some are making it out to be though. Eventually on of our three strikers will hit some form. Eto'o showed some great movement today. He just needs to get his sharpness back and a bit of luck and he can do a decent job for us till January

Oscar can be good b2b. Attacking mid? I'm skeptic about him there.

Would have loved to see Willian in the last 10-15 minutes or so for Hazard. His pace and trickery would have caused a host of problems IMO and Hazard had drifted out of the game

Better in that second half still a lot of room for improvement but we got the win and hopefully now we can kick on and hit some good form.

Mourinho is still the special one, he's done what no other manager could.. Get John Obi Mikel back to his prolific best.

I know right, I mean he's only playing the 10 position for that quiet little backwater country that he comes from, that doesn't mean he can cut it with the big boys.

That Mourinho interview was great. I think he's just explained everything the media needs to know.

Maybe I'm being too naive but the Mata reasoning makes sense if he wants Oscar in the middle and Mata on the wing. Mata doesn't track back and we'd be vulnerable. Of course he and Mata could have had a big bust up but it seemed pretty legit to me.

Mourinho 1 - 0 Jamie Redknapp
