Honestly Jose could be outright lying ... It's certainly possible. But his word is the best we have to go on

Unless Mourinho wants him out, Lukaku WON'T be sold. And every indication is that Mourinho wants him at Chelsea as indicated by how he wanted Lukaku to stay this season but Lukaku left because it was a WC year

What are they going to do, force Lukaku to stay and have an unhappy player moping around?

Player power is too much nowadays, especially at these higher echelons of the game. If Lukaku wants to leave, then Chelsea will let him go.

This just in, Jose Mourinho might not be telling the truth. More at 11 about this unheard of event.

When you consider he has a habit for lying, that kinda points out its NOT the best we have to go on.
Jose has said Torres has a future at the club. Do you believe that?

But thts not even remotely the point I was making. To sum. I said Lukaku hadn't been spoken to by Chelsea and was considering a move to Everton if they got CL, as I said this was before christmas (source: Lukaku interview) At no point did any of this have anything to do with Jose.

Moh come on ... You can tell he is lying with the 'Torres' part since it goes against all reason. Not as clear cut as with Lukaku

Of course he would consider a move ... But I doubt it will happen unless Jose wants him out which will go against everything Jose has said or done so far

But I didnt even debate that. More to the point what Jose says and what he does are often two different things. For example we know now that the Mata deal had been going on for months, which is where that original Mata story came from that Chelsea shot down very quickly.

If Jose didn't want Lukaku around ... He would have marginalized him the same way as Mata. Not fight to keep him, grudgingly allow him to go on loan before making numerous comments to the media that he wants Lukaku back next season

Tbh even if Jose says he wants Lukaku around next season it still wont 100% convince me it's the truth. He also said Mata was a part of Chelsea's future weeks before he was sold to Manchester united.

Except he was actively marginalizing mata which was plain to see ... Same can't be said of his treatment of Lukaku

Jose was so convincing when he kept saying he wanted Mata at Chelsea and how big a part he is... Come on. Be sensible here.

We'll see in the summer as this is utterly pointless to be discussed.

Oh lord it's you again ...

Yeah, I gave up following Formula Ona and switched to this thread, you're a lot better at making U-turns. Just like Mata transfer went from 'it will never happen' to 'it was Jose's plan from day one', practically overnight.

To be fair, I was probably the loudest "it won't happen" and I'm still in disbelief 3 months later.

I did tell you. Granted I didn't expect it to be us, but I told you he was out.

Yeah let's just start putting words into people's mouth because we got nothing better to do and then say we were 'drunk' as an excuse right? Remind me when this discussion was ever about Mata?

Cant his agent attempt to get a bigger contract extension by bluffing? Isn't that what Kroos' agent and numerous others have done countless times? Regular starter or not ... He will get enough game time at Chelsea either way. Mourinho said it himself at the start of this season as well before he left. I can't fathom why you would want to move clubs so that you can gain a extra two hundred minutes at a significantly smaller club that ...

1) Cannot pay him as much
2) Doesn't have Mourinho
3) Not his boyhood club
1. I doubt it matters that much to him, he's still at an early stage in his career and game time is more important than money.

2. So what? He probably prefers Martinez to Mourinho, you should've seen his goal celebration on Sunday when he ran up to Martinez and hugged him. In his eyes, Mourinho is someone who signed yet another striker (Eto'o) to replace him; whereas Martinez is someone who values him.

3. Again, so what? Jamie Carragher grew up supporting Everton, but is now a Liverpool legend.

Lukaku situation is extremely bizarre even by Chelsea standards. Don Pedro Managero first loans him out, then he whines about lack of strikers entire season. Meanwhile Lukaku scores as much goals as Eto and Torres combined, but he still wont get a chance, instead they plan to spend up to 50mil on new striker.

If this wasn't weird enough, Chelsea competed for Lukaku with Real Madrid, back when its manager was certain Jose Mourinho.

Seriously what the actual ****.

I personally think we will sign a striker and have Lukaku too.

You seem quite happy to believe Lukaku, why not his agent?

Because his agent does not own Lukaku, Chelsea do.

When you consider he has a habit for lying, that kinda points out its NOT the best we have to go on.

Of course Torres has a future with Chelsea, i have said this for ages now. I see so many Chelsea fans getting a tad excited when they see rumors "Torres to leave" but he won't he can't. Chelsea won't let him go for nothing and no club will pay money and take on his 170k a week wages. If he goes it will be on loan where we will still have to pay the majority of his wages, he will be employed by Chelsea until his contract runs out in the summer of 2016.
