Jose axed all players who were poor so far, so to follow this trend, I think Zouma should start a few games ahead of Cahill. Not blaming or anything, but he was rather poor the last few games.

The only "positive" thing out of today, is that we lost this Invincible tag, so now the players can focus on winning it one at a time, not beating useless records that don't count for anything.

Invincibles was never going to happen in modern football in the PL. ******* social media and journalism.

Expected the loss today as usual at SJP. Hopefully the media stop bumming us now that we've lost.

won't write my main piece until later as i have work now but full credit to Newcastle

Thank god the media bullshit should now be over. We will still win the league this season so couldn't give a **** about not going unbeaten.

I mean it's good to be positive and ****, but easy. Don't underestimate our ability to **** up.

An element of bad luck in that loss too. 2 goals from 3 shots on target is cruel.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't we beat Spurs last season 4-0 with 4 shots on target? Sucks when it happens to you though.

Actually it was a bit of bad luck... While the score was 1-0, Hazard hits the post, and then in the next minute they score...

Now where do i start with this one! Okay lets go from here, i actually forgot what losing felt like, and it sucks! Had work straight after the game and was in a foul mood for the majority of it but atleast it kept me off social media and away from the fools comments!

I'll say the same thing i'v been saying all season which i believe to be our only weakness and that is lack of attacking width. When we were on top for the first 20 minutes all our chances came from the right side where Willian was getting behind their full back. I think as fantastic as Ivanovic and Azpilicueta has been defensively with all our attacking midfielders being inside forwards we need proper fullbacks in their proper positions to offer us some width. Now maybe Ivanovic could replace Cahill for some matches? I called is form into question just a few days ago and he made 3 major mistakes today too, not sure what's up with him because i love the lad, maybe he needs a quick rest mentally?

I'm delighted scapegoat Mikel played quite well for him really more than anyone else but i felt Costa and Hazard were quiet for the majority. Both Drogba and Schurrle made positive impacts from the bench which is encouraging to see especially from the latter as his form has been poor of late. We have the luxury of resting anyone this mid-week and i believe Jose will most certainly do it. One thing today showed is something me and many others have been saying for well over a month now and that is that Nemanja Matic is our most important player.

I must say and read this properly before i get pelters, obviously i am not happy we lost i never am but subconsciously i'm pleased all this bullshit talk (majority from the media) about us being potential invincibles can be put to bed! I also look at it this way, this is obviously Jose's bogey fixture and its out the way along with Everton, Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd away from home with us still being top. I also think sometimes you have to lose to come back stronger, this is a side who has not tasted defeat for sometime some players yet to even taste defeat in a blue shirt so lets see how they respond to that shall we?

For me after having a long time to mull over it all is not doom and gloom not by a long shot. I will say congratulations to Newcastle, everything went their way and they done everything they needed to do.

This is stupidity. I'm sorry but in a meaningless game you play Diego Costa and a bunch of week-in week-out starters. Seriously. Mental. Give Remy full 90 instead.

Costa is lacking match fitness hence why he will probably play 60 odd minutes. Fabregas is suspended for the weekend and probably won't play at derby in a weeks time so will get his rest. Jose lost at the weekend and will not want that to happen again, he knows what he's doing.

Remy hasnt played at all pretty much this season. Why do we get players that we don't use? Salah is ****, we know that. But Remy deserves some game time. Fabregas needs some rest too, don't you think? We will probably play 60+ matches this season and this opportunity to rest should be used.

Jose and the staff know more than we both do they wouldn't play a player if it was going to end up being a risk. Salah has been excellent in the 1st half.

Going to start with the negatives here this time and its mainly the reactions of our fans on certain things at times. I saw people complaining about the starting line-up (it was too strong), Mikel, the lack of youth players in the squad, Mikel, first two subs not being Loftus-Cheek, Mikel, amount of game time Loftus-Cheek got and how our academy players never make it. Oh and Jon Obi Mikel! I'm totally aware that everyone is different and everyone is entitled to their own opinion me someone i would say is a pessimist cannot find much to complain about right now. I agree most of these comments were on Twitter which we all know is full of basket cases but still, really does grind my gears!

Now onto the game, i was very happy Jose picked a strong line up. Schurrle and Salah needed starts and both put in a wonderful display tonight. Costa is lacking match fitness, resting him will do him no favours right now. Fabregas is suspended at the weekend and will probably miss the Derby game next week so will have some rest time and Matic was rested at the weekend and had no games in the summer so is one of the fittest in the squad. Jose wanted to win this game, we lost at the weekend (as if anyone needed to be reminded this) and not only does Jose hate losing he would have wanted to get that winning mentality back.

The inclusion full backs on their natural sides in Azpi and Luis helps the side going forward giving us another dimension going forward stretching the pitch but...... I think it does make us a little more vulnerable defensively more so with Luis than Azpi (who i believe is the best fullback overall in world football). Luis is a good tackler when pressing but i do believe he postionally he is very suspect, some may say he is quite Brazilian!

I was impressed with most players tonight but the main talk will be about 18 year old Loftus-Cheek. After a dismal first touch of the ball he really put himself about and moves all over the pitch kind of like Yaya Toure does. Lets hope this lad has the right mentality and the right decisions are taken by the club in order for him to establish himself as a first team Chelsea player in the future. Yes i know after reading that last sentence we are all thinking the same thing "youth player making it all the way with Chelsea, no chance" and i'd be inclined to agree with you all. However since Jose came back to the club in the summer of 2013 he has been trying to give some youth players a chance. In fact Loftus-Cheek was the 6th academy player which Jose has given debuts to after Lewis Baker, Tomas Kalas, John Swift, Andreas Christensen and Dom Solanke. Would we have liked to have seen more in the squad tonight? Yes of course but Ake has been struggling with a hamstring problem and our youth team had to win their game this afternoon to top their Youth Champions League group (which they did with a 6-0 win vs Sporting). Lets look at the positives shall we ladies and gents.

Back to winning ways, i'm a very very happy blue apart from one thing. I passed up the chance to go tonight as i normally work Wednesday nights and cannot book any time off in December. As luck has it i was off and my Dad and Brother got to witness a ****** Mikel goal live!!!!
