Based on this info it's a no brainer but these are the terms of his contract. £55k a week plus £1.6m loyalty fee and £1.6m agent fee. Very unreasonable but Reid jones and jars are all awful.

Deal because he's worth ten times that. In terms of his contract, see if you can give him some bonuses like the goal bonus and stuff like that he's never going to get...but deal definitely.

DEAL! Especially if they're offering cash up front. There are better players, I don't think Coates is a player I would keep for too long :D Though I don't know who your centre-backs at this stage....

you are in your first/second season. why would you sell your best player? Keep him till he's 27-28 and you've got a solid team around him. then you can sell him for cash for around 30M pounds. In my view, no deal.
