England Triumph in 3rd Ashes Test
England manage a victory in the third test of the Ashes, after a very close 5-4 victory of Matt419 over Kaarto.
England started the game off strongly, Cristiano Ronaldo putting an excellent Philip Lahm cross past Neur and into the back of the net. Messi equalised for Asutralia in the 36th minute after Sergio Ramos failed to clear a Gareth Bale cross into the box, allowing Australia to bring it back to 1-1. That was the score going into half time.
At at the start of the second half, Ramos was taken off for England to be replaced byJavier Macherano. It didn't take long for things to kick off again as Sergio Aguero scored a stunning free kick from about thirty yards out. However, England's lead lasted for three minutes as Fabregas took a shot at goal, De Gea only being able to parry it and setting up Lionel Messi for an open net and his second goal of the game.
Then em things went from bad to worse for England. Robben took a shot at goal. De Gea was, once again, able to parry it away, but the talented Dutchman managed to reach the remount before Alba could, and made it 3-2 to Australia. In the space of seven minutes England had gone from a win in the game and a win in the test, to a loss in the game and a draw in the test. Three minutes later in the 61st minute, Luis Suarez had the ball in the back of the net for England. Unfortunately, he was offside.
The he next fifteen minutes was tense. Both teams having chances, England having two really good ones, but neither team being able to score. Then in the 77th minute, Jerome Boateng took down James Rodriguez in the box, and Ronaldo scored the subsequent penalty to make it 3-3. What followed was the most frantic 15 minutes that I have seen in a long time. England managed to take the lead just four minutes later by Luis Suarez, and then both teams had chances until Kompany scored for England in the 91st minute, making it 5-3. However, it was not over as a minute later, Bale scored for Australia. The last three minutes were tense, but in the end England managed to hold onto their lead, claiming the third Ashes test as an England victory, and putting them 2-1 up in the series.
