England Triumph in 3rd Ashes Test
England manage a victory in the third test of the Ashes, after a very close 5-4 victory of Matt419 over Kaarto.

England started the game off strongly, Cristiano Ronaldo putting an excellent Philip Lahm cross past Neur and into the back of the net. Messi equalised for Asutralia in the 36th minute after Sergio Ramos failed to clear a Gareth Bale cross into the box, allowing Australia to bring it back to 1-1. That was the score going into half time.

At at the start of the second half, Ramos was taken off for England to be replaced byJavier Macherano. It didn't take long for things to kick off again as Sergio Aguero scored a stunning free kick from about thirty yards out. However, England's lead lasted for three minutes as Fabregas took a shot at goal, De Gea only being able to parry it and setting up Lionel Messi for an open net and his second goal of the game.

Then em things went from bad to worse for England. Robben took a shot at goal. De Gea was, once again, able to parry it away, but the talented Dutchman managed to reach the remount before Alba could, and made it 3-2 to Australia. In the space of seven minutes England had gone from a win in the game and a win in the test, to a loss in the game and a draw in the test. Three minutes later in the 61st minute, Luis Suarez had the ball in the back of the net for England. Unfortunately, he was offside.

The he next fifteen minutes was tense. Both teams having chances, England having two really good ones, but neither team being able to score. Then in the 77th minute, Jerome Boateng took down James Rodriguez in the box, and Ronaldo scored the subsequent penalty to make it 3-3. What followed was the most frantic 15 minutes that I have seen in a long time. England managed to take the lead just four minutes later by Luis Suarez, and then both teams had chances until Kompany scored for England in the 91st minute, making it 5-3. However, it was not over as a minute later, Bale scored for Australia. The last three minutes were tense, but in the end England managed to hold onto their lead, claiming the third Ashes test as an England victory, and putting them 2-1 up in the series.

Written by lewie100

The opening test in the Ashes was won by the English, with lewie100 (me) beating Kaarto 4-2, in a game where the Aussies needed to be more clinical, and the English took their chances well.

The 1st goal came from the Aussies, after a Free Kick from Fabregas went straight to Hummels who just slotted it in easily. In between, Kompany managed to kick the air when trying to get the ball, what an idiot!

The English then took an equaliser, when Ronaldo played it into the path of Suarez, who passed it to near the edge of the area to Disclaimer's favourite player, Muller to slot it home with ease.

In between, Yaya Toure managed to get himself sent off for a dirty tackle on Suarez, but to be honest, it didn't looks like a red card to me, but I would take it!

We then made it 2-1 with Suarez scoring a point blank header, after a chip by Muller. How Neuer didn't save it, I'll never know to be honest!

It was 3-1, when Ronaldo got the ball to the wing, passed to Kroos, who took 1 touch and blasted it into the top corner, unstoppable.

In the 57th minute, England made it 4-1 with ease, as Kroos sent in a short corner, and Ronaldo aimed his shot to perfection, by the guy at the post.

The Aussies made it 4-2 after Zlatan scored a close range header, which De Gea should have saved with ease.

Thanks for the great game Kaarto, really was a good experience! :)

Well done Lewie!

There has been some great games in this tournament!

Still saying my 5-4 win over Kaarto is game of the series so far :D

My game against Kaarto was **** good for the comeback by him, and i thought mine and Patrick's game was very good too, loaded with controversy! Probably not as good as some of the others mind.

Would be interesting to have some awards at the end of this, player of the series, match of the series, surprise of the series etc etc.

At the end of the series i was thinking of putting everyone's individual records up with wins, loses, draws, for & against etc. as well as naming a player of the series. :)
