Arghh, he wouldn't score for me I wonder how Prica will get on for you, I've blown the rest of my budget on Jose Goncalves and sold Rodriguez, don't know why, he was my best defender. Everyone keeps trying to sign Evaldo off me now.

I sold Evaldo for £2.8M and Rodriguez is leaving at the end of the season because of his contract but he's only make 5 starts so I don't mind

pretty rubbish really. Early season i was really ****, i was struggling to adpat to life in portugal, i was under pressure from the fans and the board were dissapointed. to top it off i finished bottom of my league cup group, despite fielding my first team in every game.

after christmas i found my feet a little and fonseca really found his scoring boots. i finished 5th but well off the pace of the top 4. The strong run in the portugues cup (losing to benfica in the final) has probably saved my job. ive got to hope for funds for a squad overhaul or a job at benfica/sporting/porto to win the league i think. im usually very successful in european leagues but i just havent got the hang of portugal yet........

heh I had LOTS of fun reading through the six pages so far. Got a special taste for this one since you all start with Braga who is a portuguese team.

From my experience the 2nd league in Portugal is way easier compared to the superleague. I've won the 2nd league with one of the clubs there who were thought to be demoted, then got to the top one and lost nearly every game (think I've had a draw against Naval or something)

Onwards to my advice, if you fail to win with Braga on 1st season then I would say it's a bit hard to win on the 2nd. The likes of Benfica and Sporting have several younger players that eventually get sold and they usually perform well on the european cups meaning a better budget and better players on the 2nd season. The same can be said of Porto but it's not impossible to win with Braga.

Good luck everyone, I would join you guys but I'm rather new here and don't feel yet very comfortable to start uploading stuff (more like saying I'm not used to stop playing to write about what I did)

Finished my first year, just missed out on 3rd place
Although success in the cup was good, hoping for a better budget next year although I doubt it. Although I'm not looking forward to losing Hugo Viana.. Got 3rd place in manager of the year, which was cool.

Couldn't get any good strikers myself, rely heavily on my midfielders and defenders to score to be honest, I play Meyong and Yazalde upfront.

I almost got the Benfica job! I declared my interest as the manager was under pressure, the chairman "considered" me and I was the hot favourite for the job according to the news but I haven't heard anything back. Hopefully breaking into the top 3 will get me a chance to manage one of the big 3 and I'll be off!

Oh and I bought Prica, wouldn't recommend him, he's only scored twice lol
