I had to offer Walsh a rotation contract but I reckon I can get it down to backup when he arrives and then I should be able to fit him in somewhere. What do you guys think of them? I hope Walsh becomes something special but Fayers might not make it in my opinion.
Just finished the first half of season three and things don't work the way I want them too. We're stuck in the lower half of the table depite dominating most matches. There are a few reasons for this. 1) Injuries. It's not like we have ultimate squad depth, played at least 3 matches with Welsh CB Steffan Jones up front... 2) We're incredibly vulnerable on the flanks due to my tactics (playing a 5-3-2 with wing backs and an AMC). Our wing backs are utter ***** tbh, hoping to get some good ones. 3) No loanees this year. No one semi-decent even thinks about joining us. Even out-of-contract players from Northern Irish rubbish clubs won't come, it's just frustrating. 4) No more Ryan Doble, best goalscorer is Tom Bradshaw with 9 goals in 21 matches. 5 of those goals were scored in our 7-0 victory at Havant and Waterlooville though...

Still, not given up hope yet. Playoffs are 9 points away and our recent form's been really ok (draws against York and Stockport) so I'll hope to get on some kind of run. FA Cup was over in 4th Q Rd, FA Trophy is still running as we reached round 2.
Just received this one. Looks like reason 5) is the lack of money, their wage budget is more than five times higher than mine...

Faulky and Tuckson you're doing great and Faulky that is one great regen. I am after the Welsh players and I hope they can do well. My facilities are decent now and my coaching team is one of the best in the world by the way.
I'm not even thinking about giving upWelcome to lower league management! lol There is always a team out there with more money! Don't give up though, it looks like your team is doing well, I had to spend another season in League 2 and it allowed my players to solidify themselves and I'm in a dog fight for the League title right now. If you don't get the promotion right away I wouldn't worry, just take what you can then start thinking about the next season.
How are the other Welsh teams doing in your save? I see Newport are in the BSP. Where are Wrexham, Swansea and Cardiff?
I'm not even thinking about giving upThe table doesn't quite represent how good we are, as I said, usually we dominate the game, don't score and concede whenever we can. But I agree with you, next season when the team gels in a bit and gets used to the tactic (and i hopefully get something like a striker) things should be alright.
Onto the Welsh clubs, they're doing as expected. Swansea is fighting againt relegation in the PL like they (successfully) did for the last two year. Cardiff are in the Championship after spending 2013/14 in the top flight, looks like they might go up again. Wrexham got promoted after season one and got into League Two playoffs immediately only to lose the final. Now they're near relegation zone, we'll see how it goes. Can't say much about any Welsh regens so far, Blackburn seem to have a nice pacey forward though, grabbed from the world renowned youth academy of Bryntirion...
