I've decide to give this challenge ago :) Has anyone made a San Marino guide?

Well at the end of opening post you can find the links (more a "map" actually) for the small guides I made for serie A, B & C (they're all inside this thread).

They're more "introductions" with general hints and advice, as I don't like to tell people exactly how they should play with their team...

Hopefully you will find them somewhat useful, anyway feel free to ask for any further advice :)

I am starting this today.. iv started with the club so when does the national team job become avaialbe?

In my game the NT manager seemed untouchable for the eternity, so I got him out in 2016/17 but the sammarinese FA still hired any obscure manager from their local amateur league instead of me (world class reputation, serie A champion, champions league runner-up, and sammarinese as second nationality).

On the other hand if you take control of the NT first and then apply for the club you'll most likely get the job.

Good luck to the new SM managers embracing the challenge, hopefully this thread will stay alive!

kandersson....how long have you played your game for IRL?
I ask because I want to try this but I'm not sure if I'll have the patience to add all these friendlies and complete squad upheavals and whatnot. Sounds like something to really get into though....

hi, i'm going to start this tonight. whenever I start a new game though there are only ever 7 or 8 international teams available to manage and i'm pretty sure san marino isn't one of them. do you guys know how to make more international teams available?

It really depends on how you decide to play. Me, I'm a transfer maniac always spending a ridiculous amount of time searching the globe for players, staff and everything else. I managed consecutive promotions from C2 to serie A which should be as quick as you can do, but you wouldn't believe how much time I spent every pre-season (signings, scouting, friendlies). Though you're not forced to do the same!

I can tell you getting out of C2 and C1 in consecutive seasons is def doable, while serie B is much tougher but then you'd be so close to serie A...

You will obviously need a fair amount of patience to embrace the San Marino challenge, especially if you're really trying to develop the NT, but surely it can be very rewarding.

Personally this has been my favourite save since 2004, and I gave up mostly beacuse of technical bugs (and also because my most promising sammarinese regen ever decided to play for Italy...). Maybe I will start another one with patch 11.3...

Ok I probably should have explained that in OP as it's been asked so many times.

To have the NT available you must load all players of San Marino nationality before starting the game (database size: custom ---> add players of nationality).

can someone explain to me the Italian division system please, i am a complete noob to italian football :P
All these games look really awesome though :) i may have to give this a go :D

Italian system is actually pretty standard, mate!

check the map at the end of OP I made some little guides for serie A, B & C, you may find them helpful.

Oh no.......'technical bugs'???

just some small things that tend to be pretty ennoying in long (LONG) term saves, hopefully patch 11.3 can fix everything.

Um iv just been promoted to C1.. what tactic should i use and should i add many players to my squad?

C1 standard is not really much different from C2 so your squad should keep doing fine.

No major overhaul is needed but maybe you can sign a couple of valuable free agents. I managed to sign wonderkid Davide Petrucci for free in C1, and he developed into a key player for my Serie A winning team in 2016!

Just started this challenge....Dammmmmm....lol, signing players is a nightmare...

but any way, Haven't started the season yet but went on a pre-season tour of Andorra, winning all 4 games....my new guys are looking good. Might do a story about this actually

hahaha you'll need to search hard to find the right ones! You should try some scouting in south america (namely uruguay & venezuela), there are some cheap gems with an EU passport there.

I'll def follow your story, and feel free to ask for any advice (you can use this thread) as I happen to have a bit of experience with San Marino ;)

Have you tried away friendlies against New Zealand clubs? It's 200K euros per match once you've reached serie B but even in serie C they should pay you decent money if my memory serves.

Also signing just average youngsters released from serie A clubs would often lead to nice profits via future sells or co-ownerships.

Check all the mini-guides linked in OP if you haven't already, maybe you can find other ideas there :P

Signing tip if u are 2.2k under wage budget

Fred from Juventude (his contract ends in december, but you can offer him a contract in august)
He's still a star player in serie B
