as for me, im not doing stuff like this for now, ill wait for a few more patches to avoid extreme frustrations ;o

dont know much about FMC as I like to play the full version, I guess it's alright to do SM challenge in classic mode as well, why not!

@choices: you did deserve to be mentioned after achieving the SM double, you're the only person I've ever seen doing that! Now I was somewhat close to world domination myself but stopped playing in 2026 having won EURO and Confed Cup, BUT never finished the job with a WC win! might as well go back to my FM12 save if I fail to get into FM13 though...

Just started the challenge... taken charge of both national team and club side. I didn't realise that the club side has been promoted in real life since last season!

The expectations are below: escape relegation from Serie C1/A and no expectations in the Italian Cup with the club side; the national team just expect me to enjoy the experience!

Decided after playing well over a season and not doig badly (sitting in 3rd place and picked up a competitive draw with the national team) that I'm going to wait a while to get stuck into this challenge completely. Don't want to commit to a 15 season minimum game whilst I'm still learning the ropes in FM13.

you're doing brilliant though, think you should keep going!

I will start my challenge soon probably tonight, can't say I feel comfortable with my tactics and new ME right now but feel it's time to start...

well, i was saying because on FMC if you do well you could complete the challenge in a week ;o things go so fast in there... anyways I didnt find it so enjoyable anyways

I have got off to a decent start. I am 6th after 5 games with 7 points and I have just won in the first rounf of the Serie C Cup.

Found a nice GK transfer listed for $200k. Wage/agent demands are a little steep but he seems worth it. My database has "Players from top clubs" in Argentina/Brazil if anyone is curious.

looks good but I dont like spending too much for GK esp in lower divisions I'd rather go for veteran free agent Matteo Sereni, best keeper available for first season imo!


as for FMC, I'm afraid challenge isnt possible in classic mode as I think there's no way to control the NT. So it's got to be full fat FM for SM challenge!

I don't remember how but there is a way of unlocking national teams in FMC.

I don't think you can choose your database size in classic mode so you'd have to use the glitch to get the league loaded in order to laod teh players and have the national team available to you.

don't know about that glitch, could you please explain me how to manage San Marino NT in classic mode? I'd like to give that a go as I came to the conclusion I'm not starting any serious long term save at least until next patch (sorry to say this but ME is simply not finished which is disappointing)

to get the league in classic mode you need to follow these steps.

Then if you've unlocked the ability to manage national teams in classic mode then i'd assume they would now be manageable due to loading all the SM players with the league. I've not unlocked international management in classic mode so can't say for definate but i'd imagine the national team would be playable.

it certainly is! But personally I don't feel current ME is worth committing to a serious, long term save (my personal opinion) so I thought I'd mess around a bit with new features of the game. I must say FMC is not for me as I like to control all the tiny details of MY club, but I reckon it is much faster than full game.

Couldn't agree more but I've found the ME to work in my favour sometimes too. Love the FMC skin though
