The " I have a small question" thread FM13

Just a quick question. on my swindon save im using a Barca tactic i found online and im winning a tonne of corners! on FM12 there was the corner tactic which your 2 best headers challenged keeper and attacked near post with 5 players lurking outside the area. it used to get my CB 20 goals a season! does this tactics still work... if not then which corner tactic is the best?
No there are no corner exploits known in fm 13

I am using a flat 4-5-1. My current problem is the goals I concede.

I don't think it fits under the classical 'match engine' problems, but more a style of play. The midfield is set up like

RWA BWD CMA BWD LWA

Since the APA doesn't backtrack, I lose possession through the center of the field. The central defenders won't surge forward to close down the player, the BWD is usually blocking off the channels. So a player will come through the middle, unmarked and, every now and then, hit a bursting shot straight through the defence and the 'keeper.

Any solutions, without compromising the way my team is set up?

man mark (sounds like you using zonal)
pressing (sounds like you are using stand off)
So I have tried those settings along with shouts "Hassle opponent" and "Get stuck in" and my players still do not tackle the opposition. My players don't have PPM's to not dive in to tackles either. What am I missing?

Just a quick question: Will a CM on automatic duty with match strategy set as attacking essentially be a CM on attack duty?

Does anyone know a good tatic to use with Liverpool? I am using 4-3-3 at the moment and it is working pretty well, But I was just wanting to know if anyone knows any other ones? thank you

What is generally considered a good lower league team to test a tactic with? Not looking for names but does it have to be the worst team in the npower league 2 or can it be the one that is predicted to come first in that division as well? Is there such a guide line at all?

I would say that you should test it with a team that has players suited for the actuall approach. A tactic does not need to work with all teams to be considered " good".

"Load up normal game until the nation selection screen. Then go back to main menu

And run Classic mode. It will then load up the amended databases (providing you selected them when loading full version)"

Will doing that allow me to use the LFC Marshall transfer update on classic mode?

if I select a league as playable does it matter, for my loaned-out players, if the league is loaded in "full detail" ??

If I select Brazil in full detail the "estimated game speed" drops 1 star ...

I have Brazil(3 divisions), Argentina(2 divisions), Germany, France, Spain(2 divisions), Holland, Portugal, RUssia, Italy(2 divisions) and England(2 divisions) and it "estimates game speed" at 3,5 stars

but as soon as I select Brazil in full detail -> 2,5 stars

What is it that selecting full detail or not will have on my save? I thought that having the leagues as playable was enough for my players out on loan to get "full match experience" ... am I right? thanks

i have a small question...could you please respond to my post in your tactics and training centre? thankyou

I've signed Damien Duff for my Derby side in my second season and, as he's 34, his powers of being a flying winger are on the wane.

As a result, my coach recommended putting him on an individual training regime to improve his tactical role - I had assumed this would be in with technique, first touch etc etc in the training screen but I can't find it.

Does he mean a change of role here? e.g. a Giggs-esque move into MC rather than AM R/L? Or am I being a moron and just can't see the tactical option?

Thanks.

I believe that means setting his training to his position i.e winger/inside forward , but i might be mistaken

I have a small question :) started getting use to the game now but wondered if any one has had good game data's with the rigid or very rigid style of play? And wondered if changing your philosophy during a season is not a good idea?

No, always play with Balanced or Control style.
You can change it, players will have some time to adapt (check bars on tactics menu)... even when changing tempo, they take some time to adapt.
