With "regular" tactic, also know as the tactic creator, you have ready made roles and philosophies on how to play, but with classic tactics you only have the sliders you have to tweak on your own.

So, if i have classic tactic downloaded from someone, i need to put philosophies and roles to players?

No. If you have downloaded a classic tactic and don't want to change anything in it, just leave it as it is, you can use it normally in your matches. You can also tweak classic tactics yourself, but you have to alter the sliders yourself or ask help from someone else. With tactics creator you have the descriptions in the game how different roles and duties work, so changing something is easier if you aren't really comfortable with tactics.
 
Hi,

This may sound stupid but can anyone show me a screenshot on how to set my individual man marking?

Like I am manutd playing against arsenal and I want my DC to man mark Giroud.
 
Go to Tactics and player instructions, just next to Mentality and Creative Freedom you can set Zonal or Man Marking and then choose the player you want to mark.

@donchen I think you have to do it AFTER you have submitted your team. I think this is because you need to know the other team's lineup to be able to man mark them.

Another question. Does anyone else have the same problem as me as follows:

I am managing man utd. My team is brilliant and pretty good. I am using 442 nezza tactic. I always win my home and away games EXCEPT away games to chelsea, man city, arsenal and Liverpool. I can go on a 20 games unbeaten using the same tactic but once I have a away game against one of the 4 teams above then I will definitely lose.

It also happens if I have consecutive away games against the 4 teams. I will lose. I am not ranting but just wanting to know if its a AI trend for this to happen.

I am in my 4th season and I looked back on my past season. I realised this was the trend.
 
Hi, can one of you please help me with regards to training young talent into world class players. Preferred moves, focus training etc. At the moment i have Mario gotze, isco, and yan m,vila. These are all young, but still very good players. But i know there attributes are capable of being better through my previous saves, Whats the best way in getting there attributes up?? Any advice would be appreciated.

They should grow into great players on their own, I sometimes put the individual focus to the position that they play in. The other way to speed up their development is to have better training facilites (which you can ask the board to upgrade) and better rated coaches.
 
Tried searching but couldn't find what i needed.

Basically i'm wondering how to change my reserve training and keep it that way.

I have a reserve manager who has them on a heavy workload so i get constant messages from coaches 'Player X is on a high training workload. Think about lowering it'. But when i do, next day its reset which im guessing is because i have a manager in place. But if i sack him, ill just need to go to staff responsibilities and place somebody else in charge who im guessing will do the same thing.

Sorry its more a long question than small, but any ideas?
 
Why is it that you can create a tactic, it works well throughout the preseason, your players are performing their roles well, you dominate teams you deserve to, you stun teams that are better than you then as soon as you get into a competitive fixture it seems like your team is now full of muppets completely unaware of their surrounds on the field or what their instructions on the pitch are?

It continually annoys me that I can come up with what I beleive to be a good tactic, dominate in preseason with it then just fall flat on my face as soon as the competitive games start.

I don't mind creating bad tactics, the thing that annoys me is the false hope.
 
I suppose that in preseason your rivals, apart from the common points of motivation issues, also add fielding weakened squads to some extent, and if you're fielding your full strength, then your results will be better than they would during competition. There is also that as the preseason success leads to improved morale, it would have a chance of creating overconfidence.

Though it is a curious trend that can feel like there's more to it; in my experience so far, good preseasons use to be followed by poor seasons while poor preseasons are followed by good seasons. O.o
 
Does it matter if when playing a match, the tempo you are putting it at?
 
hi all this isn't really a football question as such but has anyone else got a problem with pictures and link pictures on here it's been ok till today now there not showing and ever other page is ok just this site any ideas??
