The " I have a small question" thread FM13

So it's one of those untrainable stats like Bravery?
It's weird that the Sweeper Keeper training seems to indicate that this stat is being trained but it never improves.

how to set the team in 4-2-3-1 (like real mourinho) to shoot a lot of goals and have a good defense? (sorry for my eng)

Hello. I want to set up a 4-2-3-1 but I want to play some fast football. I actually set up like this:
GK
FB(S) BPD(D) LD(D) WB(a)

DLP (S) BWM(D)
IF (A) AP(A) W(A)
AF (A)
Mixed passing, high pressing, attacking and very fluid. Also have more roaming on. Didn't touch any slider, except long shots. I haven't great result for the moment. I'm Real Sociedad, and I only won 3-2 against a 2nd tier Portugal team with a late 90th minute goal for us. Goals they scored came from defenders mistake so..
Any tips or advice would be appreciate!

Here's detailed advice on how to play the 4-2-3-1 system. I have found that my AFC Bournemouth side, which contains several attacking midfielders, is much better with this tactic for home matches:

FM 2013 Tactic Review: Screwby's 4-2-3-1

For away matches, I generally go with a counter attacking 4-4-2, using Mamady Sidibe (on loan from Stoke City) as a traditional centre forward target man alongside an advanced forward:

FM 2013 Tactics Review: Deano's 4-4-2

Both tactics have yielded vastly improved performances from my centre backs.

This link is an index to all of the tactics they have examined in FM13:

Hi! I have small question. In Fm 2013 13.3.3 box to box players are better than players like goetze, thiago, oscar? I always played on CM position: players like playmakers but I saw a lot of tactics and in all on CM plays box to box players. I should change my midfielders?

Hello! I wonder how the training affects the attributes when a player has reached his PA. If a central defender has for example 15 on heading, marking and tackling, and he focuses his training on attributes relevant to the central defender role. Can he get higher attributes there, and lower other attributes that is not so important for a defender?

I can never get my dl and dr to perform, well, wide players in general really, what settings could really affect the performance of these players. They're fairly attacking but defensive are my priorities for these players

In some cases yes, but to reform the players stats, he would need none or very little training to stats that is relatively high and much training in stats that are not superb. If having a DC with 9 in finishing and only 14 in marking, you should see him have 6 - 16 after 2 seasons if just using the normal standard program and a limited Defender on individual.. If he has 2-19, then he won't get 1-20.

Hello.
I´m from Germany, sorry; i´m use google Translate for english.
My
Im win the first games to clear (4-1, 3-1, 5-1) and then start to complain about. I can not see why.
Which is not only related to one club. There is a general problem with me. Whether RB Salzburg, or VFL Bochum Fortuna Dusseldorf.
My current Club is Eintracht Braunschweig.
How can I improve the harmony?
What should I set for training?

* Sorry that there are a few more questions

Well, it depends. If you used an edited databas for the 13/14 season, than many players are new even before your transfers.

The best way is to start with taking the tutorial of the game. After that, I would do the following

- look at the different philosophies and strategys to see what they are.

- look at the different roles and the description of them.

- look at the players and their stats and the decriptions of what the stats actually mean....

..then, you setup a tactic using the Tactic creator and start playing a couple of matches, following what is happening on the pitch

My question is about the player's Information screen where there is a "Games Played In Position" pane, which has the number of times a player has played a position and their rating in that position.

Is there a place to find what Roles they have played within each position, and their ratings for the role? If not I think that would be a nice nugget of info to see.

Hello, I am sure this has been brought up a million times in the past, but I have a question regarding player training...

I recently signed Giovanni Moreno, a fantastic left footed player, whose 6 foot 4, quick, and very skillful. His in game preferred positions are AMC and LW, which he receives a 4.5 star for both.

But, I want to retrain him to play to as an inside forward on the RW.

My assistant says he will receive a 4.5 star rating, so no problems there. But, if I play him on the right in the meantime, (which at the moment is red), will his performances be poor?

I don't want to start him at AMC because I have a great 18/19 year old regen there, and on the left his initial performances have left him slightly isolated. Thanks!

I have been playing since Nov 2012. I have tried numerous team formations, training tactics, team instructions etc...and have quite a bit of success....even used the Money-Cheat to learn what works and what doesn't, but this is what I have found to be the most successful: a 3-3-3-1 formation is the most dominant and simpliest to use. 3 Central Defenders, a Deep Lying Midfield in front flanked by 2 Wing Backs; 3 Midfielders just in front....a Ball-Winning Midfielder flanked closely by 2 Advanced Play-makers. Up front, an Advanced or Complete Forward. This formation gives an overwhelmingly strong midfield & creates a persistant forward line. The Wing-Backs and Advanced Play-makers usually dominate play. You will find these players fitness levels go down per match, so you will basically need 2 of each for these positions.
Training Tactics are important. Use "Intense" levels for all except defend and attack; here you use medium for attack for Defenders, and medium for defence for attackers. This builds players skills, character and fitness to higher levels. They will complain, but ignore them, persist and they will develope. "Game-time" also affects their development, so the more time they play, the better they get.
As far as "Team Instructions" go, I use "Attacking" mentality...."Mixed" passing style...."Committed" tackling....."Pressing" & use the "Offside" trap.
You can buy players, but a good tip is to check for "FREE" players and those whose contracts are either "EXPIRED" or "EXPIRING". Here you can get some excellent players for nothing especially when you first start. Go to "Player Search", select "Position" and then...."Contract Status"....Check "Expired" for players who are free to get and just require a contract ....then in years to come, check "Expired" especially around January; here you simply offer a contract to those who contracts expire that year. No need to make financial offer, just offer whatever contract they require, and they can be your for free. If you wait for their contract to expire, you will find some other club has beaten you to it. I am in my 7th year as Tranmere from 3rd Division in 2012-13 (3 years to get to Premier League)...I have won Premier league 4 times, FA Cup, Capital Cup, Community Shield, Club World Cup & Champions League 3 times. My players are valued just over $505m (Aussie dollar)...$291m of which are players I have acquired free and whose value has increased.
Don't be too eager to replace players during a game who are not performing well....sometimes they will surprise you and score then winning goal. Beware when a players fitness approaches 55% during a game; he usually falls to injury at this point; here you replace him. Use "Corner" & "Free-kick" specialists always because they WILL produce goal opportunities. Remember its just a computer game, so be brutal to players when buying and selling, and to opposing teams to gain victory. Oh yes, every once in a while you will be beaten by a much weaker side 4-0 no matter how good or strong you team is. I am not an expert, but theses tactics have been very productive and have brought success for me.

A player rated RED will perform much more poorly than a player rated dark green (accomplished) or bright green (natural). Although I do prefer opposite foot players on the wings, I think you're overthinking it. And the fact is that you need a rotation anyways. If you play a guy who's not at 100% energy/fitness his performance will suffer. So you can't just roll out the same guy at the same position every time. Alternate your star at LW and AMC. And most 19 year olds might have 4 star potential but will only be 2 star current ability. Bring that guy along slowly. Only start him in easy games, like home games or away games against very weak sides. Also to develop your youngster more make sure to play him in as many competitions/cup matches as possible. Try to make sure you have adequate backups. A 3 star player at 100% energy/fitness will outperform a 4 star player with low energy or who is tired from being overplayed.
