The midfielder is expected to be confirmed as a Rossoneri player later today after he completed his medical this morning.
“This is a step forward in my career,” he noted. “I am delighted to have arrived here and I have come to Milan to do well.”
The 27-year-old has joined on loan from Liverpool, but the San Siro outfit will be forced to buy if the player appears in a fixed number of matches.
"The clause of making at least 25 appearances is not a problem for me,” he added. “I'm not thinking about it. I will do everything possible to earn the trust of the club.”
In an odd twist, Aquilani joins Milan as a replacement for Juve’s Andrea Pirlo after the two swapped clubs this summer
"I have different characteristics to Andrea Pirlo, but this is a further responsibility for me. I believe I can play in all positions in midfield.”
Aquilani spent the 2010-11 campaign on loan at Juve, but the Turin giants opted against buying him outright.
Aquilani will reportedly earn €2m in his first season, with that wage rising to €2.5m should he remain at the club.
