Makes you wonder why we didn't go in for Konoplyanka or Ayew on a free transfer, but were happy to splash out big money on Lallana and Firmino (who I rate btw). Ayew in particular, he was virtually begging us to sign him!

Ayew I dont think would have been that good for us personally, but Konoplyanka on a free is certainly someone I would have looked at

I would have liked Ayew, he works hard and is versatile, and offers a goal threat from deeper, he even played CM for Marseille sometimes. But definitely I would have preferred Konoplyanka, much more natural width. I was hoping Yarmolenko would let his contract run down this season but he re-signed with Kyiv for 5 years. Respect to him for that though, he said he loves the club and knows they will let him move if he wants to, he just wants them to get a fair price for him, and if no one comes for him he's happy to stay there anyway. Very refreshing attitude to see

Be interesting to see what direction Klopp goes in as regards any traditional wide men given his love of inverting his wingers.

I disagree actually. Reus was inverted, yes, but he also liked having the other winger - Blaszczykowski - staying much wider

Dont expect much until the summer tbh. Klopp is a clever man he is going to first assess the squad until the summer, besides its a euro year no ones going to want to move because it might jeopardise there Euro spot. Unless we unearth a hidden gem and going by our track record well you get the picture. Really ****** we let Markovich go I feel we never got to see him play in his natural position at all.

January is also very difficult to buy in.. It usually comes with inflated prices and players who are either unhappy or that clubs dont want

If there's only one signing January, and that signing is a solid 'keeper, most supporters will be VERY happy indeed.

Just what was he doing again Sunday? Throwing the ball out to Can, who had his back turned and wasn't even looking to recurve it, conceding possession just outside our area was bad enough. But then we get the equaliser. .....

Yeah, shockingly stupid free kick for Milber to concede. **** poor defending for them to win 3 headers was it? (And WTF Clyne was doing ambling around the edge of the D f only knows.). But any 'keeper worth his salt comes all out for the high ball the back stick. But not Mingolet. Little he could do with the great looping head back across goal but he should of stopped that ever happening.

Doesn't matter what we do outfield 9 times out of 10. Any high ball in the box is liable to see him **** himself and concede.

Fellas a serous, SERIOUS liability that hopefully will be the first thing attended to.

He didn't, but there's the major change in policy right there.

Ayre and co may be happy with what they brought in. But if Klopp doesn't rate them and feel they can play a role going forward, they won't be here. Rodgers never had that luxury of overall power.

That, added to the two biggest off field problems Ayre and Gordon no longer playing a major part in identifying and chasing players are massive differences to their first three years.

Ayre and Gordon will still play a role. The changes arent actually that significant. Klopp gives his requests (i need a winger) and at the very end, can veto or agree with what they found. He's not playing any part in identifying them though. He never does or has, apart from subotic. Pretty much identical to his set up at dortmund. The difference is Dortmund have vastly superior people in the middle in Zorc, Watzke and Mislimic.

The most positive aspect is that Klopp has the final say, which wasn't the case for Rodgers.

I'm not expecting the players to be as successful as those Dortmund brought in, but at least it wont be a half manager/half committee squad which is one of the reasons the balance in the squad is poor

We're kind of on the same page but seeing it slightly differently.

Prior to the change in manager, you had the previous guy having a limited say among a 5 man 'committee.'

Yeah, Ayre and Gordon will still naturally be involved. But no longer in the identifying/ decision on players part of the process. They'll be at the back end on the financial side of transfers as they should be. That alone and the manager having a say in boththe type of player we look for and the final say on whether we sign him or not if its within the budget are significant changes right there. Throw in he's brought in his own chief scout he fully trusts, and will no doubt add to changing the whole scouting department as he goes; and the roles within the structure are vastly different.

Of course this may all fall down when we get into that first window (and more so the first summer one); but I actually have faith (don't ask me why) in the Americans sticking to this and fully backing him. They have the top bracket manager they can trust now to afford the major money to. However 'major' that turns out to be if needed.

We've found one and the others still missing.

L'pool can't comment whether the game tomorrow goes ahead. Possible terrorists being thrown around.

At the minute this is looking far more serious than just our bungling.

Actually half happy the blue ***** just equalised as Norwich away would be a pain in the *** on a Wednesday night.

Chelsea playing a very strong team and having to go to extra time with Diego Costa going off injured..

All good news for the game at the weekend

The game tomorrow is also confirmed as ON

Benteke out against Bournemouth and has suspected knee ligament damage... And so it continues.

Sigh.
