At least Origi is getting experience he'd never of gotten under Rodgers.

Personelly rather Sinclair who at least looks like a striker. But Klopp seems to genuinely believe in him and rate him so hopefully this early exposure serves him well in the future. Just a shame it's in such an up and down team and not a settled, stable one. That isn't helping him at all either.

I dont understand the constant digs at Rodgers...

He would have never gave Origi a chance? Had Ings, Benteke and Sturridge all been injured like now he wouldn't of had a choice. Do you really think Origi would play if all our striker were injured?

Klopp may believe in him, but he is only starting most games because we literally have no-one else

It wasn't a 'dig' anymore than that was how you (not surprisingly) chose to take it.

Rodgers was the previous manager so naturally he's the reference point. You've only to drop back to last year when he'd rather play Sterling consistently out of position when he had Bolotelli, Borini and Lambert. And even went as far as Coutinho up front instead of them.

Although I am impressed you think he'd of shown faith in Origi in the league and not stuck Coutinho and now Firmino or someone up there. You're the first red I've heard of late that shares that.

One of our best parts of the season came with Sterling up top... How bad the options were with Sturridge injured meant it was the best option

I could see your point if Origi was chosen when others were fit, but the fact he is starting is solely down to players being injured

And how is that news again? Origi's fourth choice period. I fail to see why you'd think anyone wouldn't think he was only starting down to injuries.

The point, trying to take some positive out of him having to play, was he's at least now having faith shown in him to play him there if it get's down to the point we're currently at. And that more than likely wouldn't of happened had the managerial change not been made. Even more so looking at his previous with forwards. Four successive starts? Two in the league? You could really of seen that happening previously?

You'd do better not seeing everything as some overt slight on Rodgers just because he got mentioned in relation when the bulk of the point was on the present manager.

Really feel for the Bournemouth fans tonight. After the early season disgrace of the Monday night game, to have to make that journey again midweek a few months after in a competition in all likelihood they'll sack off down to injuries and the league really sucks.

Tip my hat to those that do make the long trek North.

Should be fully sold out by KO. Very few left now.

The above said about Bournemouth, we can't afford to underestimate them at all being as desperate as we are for that first win. Please God no extra time and getting home after 11.

100%. Never Rodgers biggest fan, but this rewriting of him is madness. Sterling up front was actually very good for the most part. The Sterling with improved finished that we are seeing at City would have been devastating, because his movement is so much closer to what Suarez provided than Borini and especially Balotelli. That's exactly why he was chosen there.

Origi is up there because he is the only striker left standing. And you don't have Sterling any more

I'm at tonights game again. Went a bit mad after the Klopp arrival. May have to tone it down a bit now haha.

I'm hearing that Klopp might be playing Teixeira. I thought he was a good few years younger than 22! I've not actually watched him play as far as I can remember. Anyone seen much of him?

And Bodgan in for Mignolet which I'm sure will upset Scouse hugely ;)

Not sure if it's all true mind.

Excellent player would have got his chance if didn't keep getting injured. I remember he came on two seasons back and was the best player on the pitch. Age is against him though and you wonder if his injuries have set him back. Only way were going to know is if he plays.

I remember at one point him supposedly being the next big thing from the academy... Now i know that is a title thrown around far to often but it will be interesting to see how he does

He was very good out on loan and due to his age need's to prove himself sooner rather than later

Brannagan and Randell likely to play aswell

If you watch him play he defo has something about him. Only problem is he has got injured every time he is about to make the stepup. Good to see Brannagan and Randell starting aswell.

Hopefully he isn't the next Suso then. I remember him being touted for big things. He's now had 1 or 2 great moments for Milan but mainly hes done nothing to stand out.

That is an utterly ***** team. Expected changes but that's very disappointing.

This could be a LONG night.

Let's hope but that's a **** poor side which he said he wouldn't do yesterday. It's worse than Carlisle and Rodgers would justifiably be crucified for that. Very disappointing. First frustration with Klopp.

But hey, still a game to try win and all that. Just not confident at all now.
