15 minutes into the second half and nothing has changed. Does anybody really expect Liverpool to turn this around ? All 11 players are having a nightmare on the pitch

Liverpool narrow and predictable again.

Against a team defending narrow and deep

Making life much harder than it should be considering the possession and quality they have

Pfft too many passengers especially in midfield and defense. Honestly didn't even notice Wiji was playing until the second half started.

Nice to see Hendo back. Added real urgency to that midfield when he came on, it will be nice not to see Milner or Can shoehorned into his role.

That was a good cup match. Some great saves by Foster and a brave showing from the West Bromwich lads.

Plenty of Liverpool fans buggering off home when there was still a chance to equalise.

I don't know where to start on that shambles so right now let's look at the absolute disgrace that is VAR. Made even madder that we come out the right side of it. All predicated to knobheads sat watching at home the TV. They know what's going on. F the lads the ground who actually pay to watch this. Keep them the dark. Absolute, chaotic shambles that totally and utterly disrupts the flow of a game and leaves everyone clueless as to what's F-ing going on. Then to top it off the useless ***** adds FOUR minutes on the end the half. After 2 subs. 4 goals. and 2 lengthy stoppages without the VAR. With which the penalty decision bollocks was longer than 4 minutes alone. Games are F-ing long enough as it is with all the time waisting. (Which Pawson did F all about second half. Again.). What they reckon, the ball's in play 55/60 mins on average? Then you're having mass stoppages when nobody knows what the F is going on. If he'd done it as he should have time wise, we'd of been playing over an hour the first half alone.

Seriously, if that's the future it'll stop people going the game. Absolute, utter, shambolic disgrace. And that's from someone who's team came out the right side of it! WTF does that tell yer?

Don't think I have it in me to start the players right now save to say if Can doesn't want to here, which the lazy little ***** patently doesn't, do us all a favour mate and **** off Turin. Absolute disgrace again in another game with absolutely NO midfield until Henderson and Milner come on. People can say what they like about Jordan and his sideways passing but at least it's at speed and he tries to get things moving. How anyone can seriously try justify Can or Wijnaldum deserving a place over him I just don't know.

How was Yeovil mate? Wait, you weren't there?

Oh yeah, that's right. I was the only ****** here that actually saw his team live the Cup this weekend. Point being it's easy to sit and nark at fans at the game from the comfort of your warm house huh?

You're in Anfield, not 400 miles away. No real excuses for home fans leaving early on a general level when you're 2-3 down

This feels familiar....

At some point Klopp is going to have start playing wider.

Then again he hasn't done so in 6 years. Which is why he's always come undone against these kind of narrow deep defences over the last six years

I upvoted you for the post you put up during the match. As the last two games, for some mad reason, we've tried to play through packed defences. And even when we went wide finally late today, it was just flat, straight crosses the 'keeper.

But let's not start extrapolating that into absolute bunkum. We've had a lot of width this year. From two of the best wingers the league (which they ostensibly are even if both have the ability to cut in and finish a high percentage) and FB play. It's seen us past a lot of the lower half ***** teams the 18 games leading up to Swansea and things inexplicably stopping. We're just in a sudden almighty slump where every player the pitch has gone to absolute ***** in most everything they're doing. Not least their decision making.

He's been trying to get a response with constant little digs for a few months on and off in here. Which is sound. Nobody's really arsed and it's fallen flat.

But if he wants to nark at fans when he's not at a game he'll get called on it.

You don't actually play with width. Rather than call it bunkum, open your eyes to what they do. Pick up the ball wide and dribble in towards goal Your entire attack compresses in the 18 yards area, rarely wide than that if you draw a line. You don't whip enough balls in, you don't stay wide enough to hit cut backs across the box to oncoming running cms enough. Couple that with a system that doesn't protect its defenders and midfield, along with set piece flaws and it's the same old issues. It's not a slump, Liverpool just need to adjust slightly. Or don't. Doesn't actually bother me either way.
You're quite possibly the only Liverpool fan who doesn't see this.

I'm quite possibly the only L'pool fan who doesn't see we don't play with width?

Didn't realise you knew so many. Shrugs. Nice to know. A lot worse people you could know than Scousers.

Why isn't he giving Karius a run of games. Smh.

Creating more unnecessary problems for himself that should never be there.

He's patently gone the summer. (Mignolet.). Karius needs a consistent run of games. Not broken up by a 'cup 'keeper' coming in. ****, even take a look at Ward if that's the case but don't revert back to HIM.

Yet again, he faces 4 shots and concedes, uncannily, FOUR goals. (Inc. the chalked off VAR one.). All whist the other end, their 'keeper is making a couple Worldie saves late on.

Never going to win F all with such liabilities in nets invariably undoing all the good outfield work most games.

Take the Coutinho money and pay Oblak's release clause. F waiting until the summer. A season that promised so much is in danger of falling apart the seems if nottin's done the next week.

*Edit* Make that the last 8 shots on Liverpool's goal resulting in 8 goals.

Buy a F solid, quality 'keeper! Before February! Not in June!

Yeah Van Dijk really isn't as good as Liverpool fans think .....

Yeah, he really is top class whether you care to acknowledge that or not but he was abysmal tonight. And the lack of effort and urgency is totally unacceptable. I forget which goal it was but turning his back on the play they got a corner off is beyond bad. That's defending 1-0-1 and something you NEVER do. Which then lead to him ambling casually back the area and nowhere near set the corner they scored off. Just an all-around ***** display where he got dragged down to everyone else's level.

The very LAST thing that should happen for someone who should be leading and organising by example.

Lovren plays as abysmally as that he's getting slated under hill and over hill. van Dijk shouldn't be immune to the same when it's deserved.

Be interesting, if he plays, to see how Grujic does against the best team currently the land the Cup later today.

He's got all the tools for that role. Just needs some discipline to his game which he'll hopefully get from Warnock. (Along with being taught to be a *******. Something Warnock specialises in. Which is never a bad thing to have the side.).

Still don't know what I'm more ****** at.

The shambles on the pitch or the absolutely disgraceful, laughable carnage that was VAR.

Also I'm not quite sure how is playing a lot of crosses going to help when you have Scandinavian giant Roberto Firmino in the box.
