Good to read mate ta as I’ve no doubt they’ll be worked harder this pre-season than they ever have in their professional careers.

I caught that they’d played Bury the other night in front of 46 thousand. Mind blowing the size of Glasgow Rangers. BURY man! When you compare that to the current English Champions having empty’s no matter how stunning the football is it puts into perspective just what a boheamath Glasgow Rangers really are. Sadly, ala Celtic, so long as they’re mired in the SPL it will only ever be a parochial thing for the two.

Frustrating that the one WC Semi I really wanted to watch now clashes with the Reds next step at Tranmere. Sighs.

Oh well. Such is life. Who really wanted to watch France- Belgium anyway?

I assume you didnt watch the england game Scouse lol. If so howed my boy Harry Wilson play did he discard any thoughts of signing da Oompa Lompa in Klopps mind.

Nice to see he’s extended for another 5 years today but you really feel this is make or break for him he next few weeks. He HAS to make the American tour and impress and then who knows? Every chance he’d be a part of the 6 needed for the front 3 if he does as he’s met every other challenge he’s faced and passed it this far. But if he doesn’t and he gets loaned again, then I think he and his agent need to sit down with Liverpool and look for an amicable parting. He needs stabliity to finally start his career at 21. Another loans pointless. Either he’s got what it takes to separate himself and stick the very top level or he hasn’t.

Same me again tonight H. Keep comtributing what you do. Goals and assists. Get the American tour and tear up the better opposition out there. Rooting for yer mate.

Ok. Mainly looking for Karius to slowly continue restoring people’s lost faith in him by just being solid again his half tonight. Along with Clyne continuing to restablish himself at RB and likewise Joe the middle. Be real nice to see Divock score too to get his confidence up. Still think there’s a real player in there that can contribute here but he needs to get that confidence back sooner rather than later. H to continue laying down his marker for a squad place this coming season. And Lallana to start putting his injuries behind him. Going to need all the quality bodies we can early this year with the WC messing things up for all the big clubs.

Godsend we’ve got Naby and Fabinho training from the get-go. Gives us a massive advantage over rivals who are stuck with there key midfielders missing pre-season made worse with the stupidity of the early start to next season.

*Edit* Talking of, Naby and Fabinho in the same team for the first time. Nice bonus.

L'pool 3 up half time. With the usual caveat of pre-season friendly/ league two side, that was an excellent work out that the first half team maximised to the fullest. Lovely football. Hard work. And some strong tattles.

Ojo the star the half. Goal and assist for Rafa Camacho. Lallana back captaining and looking good with a goal. Put himself about a fair bit physically too which is nice to see being he's getting the 'injury prone' tag. Fabinho is just an elegant ******* to watch on and off the ball. Both ends the park. And Ward made a great stop Tranmere's only chance. Solanke missed a couple of sitters. Early summer rust? Impressive from the first half team.

And I LOVE the purple strip. Not normally one for kits but that looks dead sharp with the orange.

Finished 3-2 to the Reds. Much less intense half the second half team than the first under pinned by two horrible mistakes. The first from the worst possible man .....

Pluses: Clyne again looking like the pre-injury Clyne. Great to have him back. Joe solid again back at centre half. Wilson and Woodburn did their claims no harm. The latter looking very tidy in a deep lying playmaker role. And Danny looking as silky as ever. But I refuse to get excited there as we know he’s made of glass sadly. And the first decent offer from a club that fits for him he’ll be gone anyways.

And the bad was BAD .....

Karius. Sighs. Just what he didn’t need. Poor distribution straight to them. And then he goes and spills a simple free kick straight to the Tranie forward for a tap in. The very LAST thing he needed after Kiev. Lads confidence, naturally, looks shot. I just don’t see any way he can start the season with any degree of confidence in him. Alisson needs boxing off ASAP. And Chirivella, filling in at CH again , played the ball straight to their forward for a sloppy second.

Mixed but good extended training work-out all things considered.

Onto Bury Sat’day for the next step up. Really like the balance L’pool have got here the last few years between helping out the local clubs with the early domestic friendles and then earning the big bucks abroad. Gives the young fans a chance to see us locally too live. Throw in giving all the gate receipts to Chester last Sat’day and the club are doing these right.

Must be so frustrating for Gomez and Lallana, and Oxo-Chambo come to that, knowing they’d more than likely be starting a WC Semi tomorrow were it not for injury.

Ah well. England’s loss is the Reds gain with Adam and Joe getting in the full pre-season a whole host of WC players aren’t with the season starting earlier.

And talking about tomorrow, although I have no real interest in who wins either way, I do hope Degsy Lovren completely shuts down that horrible, cheating **** Kane. Bring his reemergence full circle after the Wembley debacle last year.

Still can't believe your still on that Kane cheating rhetoric just because he was involved in one or two decisions that went against you in a game, It really is quite sad but hey ho we'll move on swiftly. I bet you didn't consider Suarez a cheat when he was playing for you and possibly even now. Despite his track record being 10x worse than anything Kane has ever done.

Uhmmm, the same Suarez I wanted binning out the club after his biting B/S? And had some real ‘interesting’ debates with Marshall on here wanting him gone. (Whatever happened to him?). That Suarez? Seriously man, you know me far better than to question my principles when I strongly believe in something.

And by the same token, I still can’t believe you try condone what he does most every week z but hey ho.

Whatever floats your boat.

Well if that was your stance on Suarez then I apologise but I still don't truly know what you have against Kane so badly.

A lot of Liverpool fans (football fans generally) did have double standards over Suarez at the time he was at the club. To be honest I can't remember how you were over it, but I'll take your word on that.

Tottenham in general under Pochetino who openly condones his players cheating to gain an advantage. Just a horrible, old school Argentinian that fella’ who thinks it’s perfectly acceptable behaviour in doing whatever it takes to win football matches. And Ali and Kane are two of the worst at following their managers ‘win at all cost’ mentality.

As you bring up the contrary on L’pool, much rather have a manager like Klopp who slammed Salah Chelsea for his pathetic attempt at a dive after the game down there late last season.

it’s one thing knowing it goes on. It’s a whole other openly condoning it publicly.

Horrible club. Horrible manager. Horrible players. Shithouse fans. As anyone ever experiencing the walk up the High Road down there will testify. Some of the worst in London.

Just a smidgen below Chelsea in teams I truly despise. Utd doesn’t even register in comparison which says it all.

Good news: Joyce in his midnight update tweeting we’re ‘closing in’ on Shaqiri.

Great but ****** bizarre news: Maddock reporting Fekir has reached agreement, whatever the F that means, for talks to reopen with the only club he wants to join- https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...yon-12896156.amp?1=&__twitter_impression=true

This is just the single maddest transfer saga I think I’ve ever known. And give we specialise on transfer saga’s, that’s saying something!

So, along with Modric, Degsy Lovren is the first player since Paolo Maldini in 1994 to play in the European and World Cup Final in the same season.

Paolo Maldini. Dejan Lovren. Mind blowing.

BTW, has he let Kane out of his back pocket yet? ;)

How reliable is Maddock/Mirror ?

I don't even care about this transfer anymore, its sucked the life out of me....

The Mirrorr aren’t but Daves a decent local lad. Has anyone been truly reliable on this one mate either side of the channel?

Like with most any transfer Lyon and that mad so-and-so Aulas is involved in its been bizarre.

I hear yer. But be another superb addition if it does get done. The major ones for me are having a jump on everyone with Naby and Fabinho here getting the pre-season in already. Don’t expect to see Henderson, Trent or Degsy in particular the first month the season with them barely having a week back. We know how Klopp will hold anyone out regardless until they’ve had their pre-season and are back upto scratch. Then you’ve Utd and ‘Spurs being hit real hard early with major players being nowhere near ready to go day one. City to a lesser extent as they have the squad but still. de Bruyne and £terling you’d think will be sparse before the first International break.

Early start the season, for reasons I still don’t understand, coupled with the WC should effect a lot of early line-ups. Been a Godsend to have most of ours from the get-go. Can’t afford to drop any points those first four games going into the first International break the standard City set last year.

Lovren said he's one of the very best CB's in the world after last night's match. No laughing at the back.

Ahhh Degsy. I love yer mate and your turnaround since the Wembley debacle into a solid, no-nonsense CH that can be relied upon again has been fantastic to watch but let’s not go talking utter nonsense hey mate?

Related, as there’s many who still don’t get it .....

As much as it means little to me, England’s wonderful ride to the semi and the way it’s given people great joy and pride in Unifying the Country ..... The irony on those same people mocking our run to Kiev and taking great joy in the defeat there, telling us it means nothing if you don’t ultimately win the trophy. Not being able to comprehend why we weren’t all down and P in defeat .... Well, maybe NOW they finally get it. Football’s about moments and memories. And when people are proud and happy experiencing those, that’s what ultimately counts.

To tell them it means nottin if there’s no trophy at the end of it is a very narrow minded view that just doesn’t take into account what supporting a football team is all about.

Kudos to England and all their fans for getting to experience that and realising those emotions.

Boss game this togger hey when it all comes together and unites people in joy to make them forget the drudgery of everyday life?

Shaqiri fee agreed. £13.75 M. Medical tomorrow.

Absolute no-brainier at that price. Interesting to note the managers been following him since he was at Bayern and coveted by Dortmund.

More nice, swift business from Edwards.

Dead happy to add him into the mix. Almost certain starter the first 4 games before the International break with others later back messing with their pre-season.

Great opportunity for him to lay down an early marke

Keep them coming Reds!
