Belter piece that just encapsulates our unique, for England, relationship with Europe. Whether it's the fact we're one of the Worlds great port City's, out on the edge, who's always had an outward outlook and readily embraced different Nationality's and cultures in the cultural melting pot that is Liverpool I don't know. But there's no City and no football club that's as European as L'pool. Our whole fan culture is completely different and European. The flag culture alone is like nothing else in this Country. Compare the multitude, wit and variety Saturday to the little Englander, lame St George cross 'efforts' with 'Essex Whites' the other end. All that, along with being one of UEFA's proper marquee clubs and everything our glorious European history entails, probably goes a long way to explaining just how respected and revered we are on the Continent. The contrast between the multitude of European club fans sending their best for Madrid compared to the insular, Brexiteer, Soccer AM generation of fan here, who still embarrassingly sing about austerity in Liverpool like this was still the '80's under Thatcher, wanting L'pool to get beat, has been stark.

And Chris captures it all perfectly.

How do you top City's magnificent table winning season? Go have the best season of any club in Europe with the prize every club wants more than any other!

I want the PL bad. As immensely proud as you are of the magnificent 97 point season they've just had, it still hurt bad to cruelly end up 2nd. But if you gave me a choice of ending nigh on three decades of wait to be Champions of England again, or having the chance to be Champion's of a whole ****** Continent .....

Is it 9 PM Saturday evening yet?

You got a preferred lineup for the game Scouse? Im torn between Gomez in for Matip but the gangly giraffe has looked like a new player alongside VVD.

Yeah, I'm feeling totally sick for Joe. He was every bit as good as big Virg before the cruel injury at Burnley. And that partnership was phenomenal. The game at Wembley against Tottenham ..... just HOW good was JMG in that? But, as is often the case in football, one man's terrible luck is another's opportunity. And Matip has grabbed it with both hands and then some. Our most improved player this season for me to the point I'm extending him in a heartbeat after Madrid. Which is a massive turnaround as I'd have well sold him the summer. So I don't see how you can drop him for the biggest game of all when he's been playing to such a high level ever since he can into the side.

The only question mark for me is in the midfield and which one of Gini or Milner get's the nod? Henderson and Fabinho pick themselves. But who get's the last slot is open to debate. Think I'd edge toward Gini starting as Milner offers so much in most every position he'd be an ideal weapon to have among my subs. As harsh as it would be on him to not start Saturday.

The rest of the team picks it's self. Bobby's Bobby so I'm not concerned on his fitness.

I think one of the biggest mistakes Pochettino's ever going to make is bring Kane back in from the off. I don't blame Kane. He might never get the chance to play in a European Cup final again so he's naturally gonna' claim he's fully fit. Even if he's nowhere near that in likelihood. But if the staff fall into the trap of believing him then I think it will be to Tottenham's detriment. Aside from anything else, they're a lot better 'team' without him when they aren't relying on him to pull them out of the ____. And Moura was a serious handful the second half at Anfield when they switched tactics. Took us a good half hour to wrestle that one back.

The real boss thing though mate, going back to ourselves, is I don't think there'd be many complaints on whatever side he selects given the quality depth is so high across the board. Which is a massive turnaround in-itself hey?

Honestly never been as confident going into a European Cup final as this one. Yeah, anything can happen in a one off final but we're a far better team than Tottenham. With all the European know-how. To me, we're what Madrid were last year. Tottenham, like ourselves in Kiev, are bouncing in just elated to be in the final and enjoying the occasion. Then Madrid went 'That's nice and all lads. But we're old hands at this. We're better than you. Ramos is a shithouse. Cop for that. Another victory. It's what we do.' These lads have that experience now, Back-to-back finals. The majority have been involved all three European finals under Klopp the past 4 years. We know what to expect and how to handle the biggest spotlight in sports come Saturday evening. This is one of, if not the, current top side in Europe. All these lads do is win games of football. Not draw them and lose. Win. Consistently. Like nottin we've ever seen before. Lead by one of the best managers the World over. All things being equal #6 is coming home.

Absolutely buzzing for this mate.

And this will be just the start.

Whoever wins it, football wins. Patient projects, always playing progressive football, healthy net-spend, etc.

Personally, I just want to see Poch win it, as I think he's one of the most genuine, straight up, nicest men in the game - who we should've moved heaven and earth to have him in the Old Trafford dugout next season (but that's for another day), but unlike most United fans, it wouldn't overly bother me if Liverpool lifted either. Maybe if it was in Rafa style, but I struggle to begrudge what Klopp's doing here.

Channel 4 mate now. Rewind it to the start if you aren’t already on it. Great show on them both.

He said in 4 years we will be standing with a trophy.

And hes won us the biggest one of them all.

For Sean ***. :D
Well done lads. Enjoy that trophy and stay safe if you are out and about.

We were absolutely atrocious but I dont give a **** we got No.6 and thats all that matters.

Some say Scouse is still in Madrid with 2-day-old stubble & one shoe with an open, half can of estrella galicia under his arm.

Being Scousers and not a bunch of brexit wools, Scouse And his compadres are currently living the life drinking cocktails a nice little bar the beach Malaga enjoying the ‘sights.’
