Yeah saw them melts having a meltdown. Bit unfair to expect a 21 year old to be a generational talent from the get go, the same melts were hounding hendo at a similar age. Bit of a no brainer to tie down a homegrown midfield option with good fundamentals and weaknesses such as his bad decision-making can be worked on. Even if he doesn't make it on this side he will still have a good PL-level career elsewhere.

If this kid keeps developing at the rate he currently is, Scotland will finally have a top World attacking talent again. Seriously.

Rapidly bumped age groups at both club and International level. And killing it at every one he’s fast-tracked through. LOT of developing to go of course. But Doaks ceiling is sky high. Hopefully the first pro-contract he was finally able to sign recently will be the first of many in red.

Of all the super talent coming through at r’s, a good few of who will/ are sticking already over the long haul; he may just be the ‘Jewell in the Crown’ yet.
