Tony B said we inquired, but won't move because he's destined for Madrid, and he's on 250k p/w.

Bit of a lack of great strikers right now. Depressing we're a week and half off the season and we're still looking for a starting striker.

We're not really looking for a starting striker - defence was always the priority and that seems to be nearly complete

Unless we sign a world class striker or one becomes available i think the plan will be 4-3-3 with Sturridge as the main striker

Bony would a decent STR but cant see him replacing Suarez or getting 30+ gls a season.

Defence was more of a problem than the attack was - even without Suarez's goals we had a better attack that every team apart from Man City

Although we'll miss what he brings, it seems everybody is ignoring how good the rest of the attacking side was as well - we most certainly were not a one man team

Yes defence was a problem for sure, still not sure about RB and Lovren, also Sturridge needs to stop getting these niggly injuries.

Really rate Lovren, but yes the RB is still an issue - and nobody really knows what is going to happen with Manquillo, hence the loan and not permanent at the moment

Sturridge is fit it isn't a problem but as soon as he starts getting injuries we need a back up. But i'm quite sure someone will be brought in

Agree mate, Sturridge is good enough to be 1st choice and suppose Bony would be good enough 2nd choice. The few times I seen Manquillo has looked good, will have to see how he goes cant be no worse than Johnson lol. Rate Lovren but will need to up it at Pool.

Out of curiosity, where do Liverpool fans rate Flanagan in their pecking order for full-backs right now?

My guess is it's:

RB - Manquillo (Johnson)
LB - Enrique (Flanagan)

Why sign Manquillo when Flanagan proved last season he's good enough? Just querying...

Manquillo is hardly a first-team signing.

RB- Flanagan (Manquillo)
LB- Moreno*hopefully* (Enrique)

I would imagine Johnson will leave, I don't mind us keeping him but with the signing of Manquillo & (probably) Moreno it looks like this is the end for him.

Plying well, but you have to balance that out against an average Dortmund team.

5 or 6 starters in that side so it's not a bad test for the lads - with the players we have fit and at the club at the moment, this will be our starting 11 in my opinion

Strong starting 11 for you guys defo! Think Dortmund missing 7 starters from what I can see.

Depends on Moreno. Still got Markovic and Lallana too.

That's why i said with the players we have fit at the moment.. Moreno will come in for Johnson and then your guess is as good as mine who'll play in the attacking positions once Markovic, Lallana and another striker is signed

Does anyone know how we are supposed to pronounce Can's name? I have head it pronounced Can, Jan and Chan. No idea which one it is.
