You are right, he didn't look very good versus city but he looked very fast at the world cup and of course in barca and Italy before.
 
So we're in for Eto'o?! Don't know whether to laugh or cry. Surely somebody considering a £35k a week contract at Ajax isn't demanding £100k from us? Or am I being naive?

Don't mind us signing him but I hope we keep Borini, too.. Looks like he's being forced out, though. :/

i just personally don't rate Borini... If we can manage to get 14million it will be fantastic business
 
So basically we're looking for two more players, one's a striker. Also Moreno's as good as done
 
Not the worst of first halves. Sterling took his goal well after a fantastic pass from Henderson.

Only problem with playing both Lucas and Gerrard is that we lack that extra body a bit further up and it is showing on how restricted Coutinho is. Schneiderlin and Wanyama both in that area
 
We need to get Moreno in the first team ASAP. Johnson cant perform any more ,if he ever did.

Afraid the fault lies with Rodgers for this one - been a while since we have played this way and it all stems through playing Gerrard and Lucas as holding midfielders

It needs to be one or the other with a more creative and athletic playing on instead (Can, Allen - Lallana when fit)

Agree use cant play with the 2 imo. I would have Gerrard,Henderson,Lallana starting.
 
Almost feel sorry for Southampton after that but surprised Ward-Prowse or Lovren were not named MOTM. From a Liverpool point of view, Lovren was outstanding
 
Southampton did deserved a point today but I am glad the didn't get it. Its very early for any conclusions yet.
