Oh my. Virtually every post you are against you use the term straw manning. How droll you become.
You like to take every thing anybody says on here out of context to prove what? You are better than someone else on an internet forum. Or maybe it's the different colour name that has gone to your head?
It was my opinion on what I thought. You might not agree with it but if thats the case please find some new terms to use.
I'm droll?! Thank you! As for the term 'straw man', well, yes, plenty of fans in general use straw man arguments, therefore I break it out quite a lot. If you know what it means then there shouldn't be a problem, no?
Not sure I've taken anything out of context. I don't care about who thinks who is better on an internet forum. All I did was point out that it's very 'No True Scotsman' to exclude those who can't make it to Anfield, and thus their opinions too.
Red names mean pretty much nothing on this forum, so I dunno why it would go to my head.
I agree with some of your points (not about GodCubed, although he is a ****

) but Johnson really isn't good enough.
Love you too babes (K)
When you play both Lucas and Gerrard as defensive midfielders, you have to expect runners through midfield - that pairing just doesn't work. Still amazed Rodgers went back to it for some strange reason
It's an interesting point. Rodgers doesn't like using Lucas in the role he's best at, the sideline to sideline single defensive midfielder, because he feels - and I think I agree with him - that Gerrard's better qualities on the ball contribute much more to Liverpool's best method of attack, on the counter. It's probably the single biggest debateable issue with Liverpool now. Should Lucas be used deeper of Gerrard to provide stability and cover for a defence that individually is pretty good? Or should he be left out in order to maximise Liverpool's strengths?
The answer, I reckon, probably lies somewhere in the middle as per usual. Gerrard deep against smaller teams would work well, whereas Lucas against bigger ones would give you more solidity. On the other hand, smaller teams are less likely to throw players forward against you, which means that counterattacking is less useful, and thus Gerrard's extra quality on the ball is less handy too. In the same vein, bigger teams are more likely to attack in numbers, making effective counters more important, which means that Lucas' inclusion could really harm the team's biggest strength. It's all a tradeoff.
Lovren played really well against Southampton. Some of his passes were top draw.
He looked okay. I'll grant you his passing was excellent.
