Suarez £75m - Balotelli £16m

Suarez £200k p/w - Balotelli £100[ish]k p/w

Suarez 94/157 - Balotelli 60/134 [goals/games last 4 seasons]

Obviously he isn't Suarez, but there isn't anyone in the world who could replace him. He's the best option on the market at the moment and is good value for money. In a market that values Borini at £14m & Shane Long at £12m we should be happy.

He has also scored 30 goals in 54 for Milan. That's not a bad return if you ask me. We have a history of turning good players into world class players (Torres, Suarez, Alonso etc.) and hopefully we can do the same with Balo. Will be a tough ask though.

I was a little skeptical about him signing at first but given the price and his relativity low wages it could turn out to be one **** of a deal. Borini almost certainly looks to be leaving now which covers most of the transfer fee instantly and without the wages of Suarez, Reina and possibly a few others we've done remarkably well.

Team is starting to look very strong.

******* myself at the thought of all this going on in a Scouse accent.

ey.. Ey.. eY cAM den, CAM DEN

Oi, I'm from London. Calm your **** son!

I agree also. Selling Suarez only to buy Balotelli is just facepalm worthy. Same behaviour problems, half the ability. In fact, Balotelli's worse - Suarez might be batshit insane, but at least he's a team player, determined to win and pushing others around here to do more. Mario is half the player Luiz is, and a troublesome presence on the pitch, troublesome presence in the backroom, troublesome presence outside of the stadium.

I dont even...

He might be half the player Suarez is, but very few players are actually as good as Suarez. You make it sound like Liverpool planned to sell Suarez and buy Balotelli as his direct replacement, when in reality it's probably more a case of Balotelli becoming available.

Besides, half as good for under a quarter of the price, half the wages and probably half the goals is actually a pretty great deal.

I wouldn't have a problem with any of it, if he wasn't also missing half a brain.

Balos wages are £4.6m a year so near enough 90k p/w.

Also flying in tomorrow morning for medical and they'll try to get him registered before 12, doubt it though.

Remy and a strengthening of the rest of the team would've been perfect.

Perhaps, but the only other position we really need strengthening is midfield.

Alex Song is available for loan, although we don't seen interested. Heck, I'd be happy with a punt on Tom Huddlestone.

So is this transfer done yet or is it going to drag out.

Sounds like it's going to be completed today, pending a medical.

Looks like LVG has been proved right, transfers can happen in 24 hours.

Unlikely he will be registered for the City game, though.
